Kruger Riverside Lodge — Hotel in Nkomazi

This was probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at – and I have stayed at many. The hotel is spotless, safe, and very modern. The staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful, and they truly made our honeymoon unforgettable.

We booked a safari through the hotel, and our guide, Bertie, was absolutely fantastic. He shared so much knowledge about the animals and made the whole experience exciting and fun. One of the highlights for me was the unique dinner setup – all guests sat together, which created a wonderful sense of community. Every evening, dessert was served by the campfire, which made the atmosphere even more magical.

The food was delicious, and we even had the chance to spot animals during dinner – a very special experience! Estie was also incredibly kind and helpful, with such a warm personality. She even prepared a delicious lunch box for us at 5:00 a.m. before our safari, which we really appreciated.

Everything was just perfect. Thank you so much for this amazing experience – we will definitely be back (hopefully next time we’ll spot the rhinos we missed...

What an absolute gem! A small boutique spot of about six rooms with incredible attention to detail, wonderful staff and a perfect location.

The lighting, bedding, air conditioning and bathroom were better than most large hotels we have stayed at in this trip. The dinner and breakfast was also very high quality and a huge fridge of beverages to choose from at a great value.

If that wasn’t enough every day there were so many animals that came to visit us during meals… giant kudu, warthogs, impala and wildebeest! And just off the distance in the front of the property, elephants and hippos etc

We had a warm welcome from Esti and seeing the warthogs and kudu around the property was just magical. Every morning when having a delicious breakfast we had friendly visits from warthogs, kudu and wilderbeest. The dinner and breakfast was also of very high quality and the tables were always beautifully decorated. Upstairs they had a huge fridge of beverages to choose from at a great value. The best part of it was an honesty system of payment. Lynette, Esti and all the staff couldn't have been more helpful and to top it all, our rental car had been washed the morning we were leaving.
