Our recent stay at Nare Bush Lodge in the private Mjejane Game Reserve was absolutely magical. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a slice of paradise in the heart of the bushveld. This lodge certainly deserves a five star rating! The five-bedroom lodge is spacious, beautifully furnished, and impeccably clean. The décor seamlessly blended modern comforts and brought a touch of elegance to the bushveld, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The large, open-plan living, dining and veranda areas, deck and swimming pool, were the perfect place to unwind and share stories with friends and family after a day of exploring the surrounding natural beauty. Alternatively the boma area at sunset, with a crackling fire was my ultimate happy place - or was it the serenity of the upstairs viewing deck? The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals. Bean to cup coffee machine, ice maker, beverage fridges, gas braai etc. All indulgent conveniences! The bedrooms, three of which are free standing and lead off a private courtyard, all have spectacular bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers. Crisp white linen, fluffy towels and the excellent amenities are all first class. Air conditioning, ceiling fans and safes are just a few of the other necessities included. Waking up to the sound of birdsong and the rustling of leaves in the morning was a true delight. The lodge also provided a fantastic view of the local wildlife, and we were lucky enough to spot some buffalo, impala, and even a few inquisitive warthogs during our stay. Highly recommended!

My family and I visited Mjejane Private Game Reserve and stayed at Nare Bush Lodge. What a treat! Giraffes and impalas greeted us, once we got to our lodge, stunning scenery. Nare Bush Lodge is incredible, we received welcome drinks and snacks. The poolside area is exquisite. My room smelled lovely and well-furnished. The outdoor shower is a must-do. The view from my bed is great, on Sunday morning I were greeted by a baboon. At night we sat around a bonfire, it is rutting season for impalas, and that was lovely to witness. Saturday afternoon we went on a game drive with Lebeko Malatjie. He was amazing! He was friendly, patient and knowledgeable about animals and trees. Amongst other animals, we saw three of the big five, elephants, rhinoceros, and buffalos. Watching an elephant walk across the road is a breathtaking experience. We drove to the river and saw a herd of buffalos crossing the river to get to our side. I have never seen so many buffalos, wow! Do yourself a favour and visit Mjejane Private Game Reserve and stay at Nare Bush Lodge, you will not be disappointed.

We had an incredible stay at Nare Bush Lodge! The hosting was absolutely amazing, warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The venue itself is stunning, with beautiful views and the most peaceful atmosphere. We even got to see giraffes in the morning, which made the experience even more magical!

A special mention to the housekeeper he was truly wonderful, always there when we needed anything, ensuring we were comfortable and safe throughout our stay. Thank you, Nare Bush Lodge, for such an unforgettable getaway. We can’t wait...
