Royal Marlothi - Kruger Safari Lodge & Spa — Hotel in Nkomazi

Absolutely wonderful experience through and through. Located off a well-maintained dirt road near Kruger National Park. Due to the location, it's common to see animals like monkeys, warthogs, and impala just outside the hotel.

Please note that my review is for the room we stayed in which was a full cabin instead of one of the smaller rooms. I would definitely recommend booking one if money allows because we had none of the noise problems I'm seeing other reviewers mention.

Staff and service are an absolute high point here. We had a group of four people and every single one of us loved the staff. They're incredibly helpful in every way and can even help with tourist activity bookings! The entire place was thoroughly cleaned every morning and I mean thoroughly! They took care of your towels and toiletries and folded clothes that were left out. They also mopped the floor!

Breakfast was absolutely nailed every time and a great continuation of the service we loved. Dinner was fabulous too with a differing menu of delicious food. We'd totally recommend eating here if you're staying here, but there are a bunch of other options relatively close by if you get sick of it!

If I could give a zero rating, I would. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I’ve never struggled so much to get a refund back from an establishment. No one wants to take accountability. Instead I am told about refund policies that are not even on their website.

On 28/12/2022 I made a reservation for 31/12/2022 due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel my trip.

I communicated with the establishment and asked what’s the way forward I was told to put in a request for a free refund which I did. The request was approved and I was told that the manager would contact me.

I called everyday for a whole week and the response I got was that the manager would get back to me at their earliest convenience and that they couldn’t give me his direct number.

I eventually figured out a way to get his number. After a lengthy discussion I was told that policy states that I wasn’t eligible for a refund yet they approved it.

The manager then promised that he understands the miscommunication and that they’ll refund me on 08/01/2023.

I’m still waiting for the refund and now I’m...
