Golden Pillow Overnight Accommodation — Hotel in Polokwane Local Municipality

So the rooms are clean, everything you need to survive is there, workers are kind of friendly, location is central and the thatch roof bar is what you would expect. But thats where it ends unfortunately. The place is literally located right next to a main street so noise doesn't help with sleeping. WIFI is so so and generally averages at around 100 to 200kbps. I first got a room next to/above reception which was located about 5m from the street edge. Stay away from room 33A and 33B cos its a tight fit low slung breezy thatch ceiling room that big enough to squeeze in a bed and has a SHARED bathroom! Its 2018 and thought that was a backpackers thing? The next room i managed to get looked like a cave with dark tiles, animal print sheets and strangely laid out furniture. Again everything is very clean and neat so you will survive. Restaurant is very old school South African dark thatch roofed joint with edible food. Dont expect memorable dining but i guess you get what you pay for. ||The weird part is that this place was packed full! We got shafted there cos the normal Polokwane hotels were booked up due to some big conference.||It must be the old school post 1994 charm! Wish them...

We have been staying at this Guesthouse, as a Company, for years already because they have an awesome restaurant and clean rooms but that is where the fairy tale ends||||What Internet?||The BIG negative for a business traveller is that their Internet connectivity is beyond poor,||They refuse to upgrade their Internet service claiming the cost to offer a better service is not affordable||The WiFi signal to the rooms is BAD beyond belief, you can connect but it takes forever to load.||I have spoken to others in my Company that also sleep here regularly and they confirm that without using our own 4G LTE sticks we cannot work nor stream at night at this establishment.||||What TV?||TV signal to the rooms on the OLD dinosaur Box-set TVs is poor and snowy.||Even this should normally not be a challenge to fix but it is not being done.|||| Honestly, I do like the Golden Pillow but for heaven's sake fix the basics to make the...
