Lily Park Lodge — Hotel in Rustenburg Local Municipality

We visited Lily Lodge Theme Park on a Christmas holiday trip with my family and partner. The accommodation and facilities were satisfactory, providing a decent night's stay. However, our experience took a downturn the next day. The park was extremely overcrowded with day visitors, making it impossible to find seating or a braai stand. This was quite disappointing as we had planned to enjoy a relaxing day at the park swimming and lounging by the pool areas. Despite the overcrowding, the employees were courteous and tried their best to assist us. Unfortunately, the situation was only resolved after we spoke to the manager. First problem with the place was the parking. It was very awkward trying to get in and out of the lot especially because it was packed.

When I opened the door to the room, it was hanging off a single hinge, made a horrible noise and I had checked in at 2am in the morning.

Inside the room, a big cockroach scurried across the floor. The next morning I went to the restaurant and wanted to order some sushi. Found out that you could only order sushi in the evening. Opted for an English breakfast instead, with a hash brown and a soft egg. By the time it hit the table, the food was cold; the hash brown I was lukewarm and soggy, and my egg was hard. When I asked to send it back I was told the cook in the back was "learning" and I was stuck with the meal...

Had a meeting here while in Rustenburg and was very pleasantly surprised by the venue. The suite that we met in had a huge boardroom table with modern leather chairs and thoughtful decorations!! There were 2 en-suite bedrooms. Very modern and spacious. Unfortunately, on the day we were there, the Chiness restaurant was closed, but my colleagues who had eaten there previously were full of praise of the service and food.
