Luxury Upmarket Guesthouse 20 on 4th — Hotel in Rustenburg Local Municipality

I had a bad experience with this place where a room we booked and paid extra to upgrade was given to someone else. We arrived to be offered a lower room and when we complained that it's not our room, they wanted us to show us pictures of the room we booked, despite them having the full reference. They said that they we sound like perfectionist and that mistakes happen - how can you give our room away and say mistakes happen? We booked the room in advanced because we did not want any mistakes to happen due to last minute booking. The least they could have done was to ensure that the correct room was ready for our arrival.

My wife made her review about the experience and they responded to her post by saying they offered us an upgraded room and free breakfast to apologize. That is a lie, in fact, they even said all their rooms are the same when we complained. Why was there an upgrade option when we booked when "all the rooms are the same"? That would then be false marketing. We were not offered any room upgrade and free breakfast, and they know very well we recorded our conversation and this is to avoid such lies. They offered us our money back to go find alternative accommodation since we didn't want the lower room facing the gate they were offering to us, and that time it was after 19h30. I would even rate this place zero stars if the option was there. We booked this place in advance (July for September) and even paid extra to upgrade our room. We even communicated with the owner via WhatsApp to ensure everything was in order. We were shocked when we arrived to find that our room which we have paid extra to upgrade has been given to someone else and we were offered a different room that is lower than the room we booked. The security guard just said that was our room and the lady in charge wanted us to show them pictures of the room we booked, despite them having the reference. Their audacity to say we should take the room and they will correct it the following day, when they are well aware of the kind of event we are attending the following two days. An Exceptional Place A great place with wow interior. The lounge area will make you buy an expensive whisky and drink it by the lounge. And on top of it, a lady by the name Koketso is good. She is friendly and makes you more welcome.

The only problem I have is that the place is not labelled Luxury Apartment on the outside. They should do that for easy identification. Lastly the private bathroom which has no door. Its a bit awkward if ulyou want to do number 2 with your partner watching. I'm not that confident. They should install a door.

All in all I had a blast, the bed is comfortable. Please avail water and shower caps in the rooms.
