Dissapointed:My parents called me and asked if I could book accomodation for them in Paternoster. I booked them a room which was available at 9H44 yesterday. When they arrived they called me and said that they were not comfortable sleeping there due to reasons related to what they believe in. (Mother did not like the Africa intrepretations, hair, brides veil etc. in the room, not even sure what everything is called).Things I could not see on the photos.(They stay over a lot and this is the first time this happened) I asked the lady of the guesthouse if I could please get a refund 14H31 the same day. She refused saying that she runs a business. I understand if it was a day before but hours apart seriously. She even typed messages to me in capital letters which I did not appreciate. Seems like they do not have any form of understanding that a situation like this can happen. It was an unfortunate situation. I had to book them into another place which they felt comfortable in. I understand running a business and cancellation policies but I also do think that she could have tried to assist even by giving me half back. I hope that she will use the money which she refuse to give back to add value back into the community. I also stay over a lot but first time I experience something like this. She could have even offered to open (made available) the room again on the websites and provided an option that she would pay me back if someone else booked but no they were happy to keep the money. Just expected a little more understanding but clearly as long as you pay they...

Farrout Review.

Simply put, Farrout Guesthouse is as delightful as the soul of Paternoster itself. It's adequately situated to experience both See and Land. And how rich this land is. In 24 hours, we had laughed until we cried in a Hot Tub, stoked by a roaring fire, watching day turn into night nestled in fynbos.. Lavished in fine dining, overlooking the restless ocean.. Had a Beach Buggy adventure drenched in breathtaking views and informative colourful tales to match. Seen Owls and Hawkes, Tortoises, frogs and glistening snakes. Mongoose, mesmerizing Beecatchers and perfect little Sunbirds feeding their young.. All beautifully encapsulated by the Owners love for their now home town and providing professional service to their guests. Beds are equipped with a twin heating blanket, rooms boast with large bathrooms, CD player, TV, fridge, books, wall heater and enough plugs to keep all your necessities charged. Breakfast is a delight and the table setting perfect for getting to know your neighbors. The dedication and warmth with which you are met at Farrout is unrivaled and I simply cannot imagine not returning to this haven. My humble thank you to all at Farrout who went far out to make our stay so...

Farr Out is a gem a little outside of Paternoster, which is a blessing during the busy season. Marion is a wonderful hostess. The upstairs apartment with lovely view is equipped with everything and more, and serviced daily. Upon arrival, the bed and bathroom were decorated with bougainvillea flowers; so pretty & made us feel like royalty. So much thought went into the layout and amenities: ample space and storage in bathroom, extra facecloth for make-up removal, mirror that lights up, bathrobes, eco conscious soaps & lotions, embroidered bedlinen. We appreciated the large flatscreen TV on windy afternoons. The kitchen is practical, pretty and well-equipped, with a complimentary jug of milk in the fridge. Breakfast (prepared by Deon) is wholesome, very tasty and a jolly affair. The common area is sheltered from elements, and set up for easy relaxation. The garden is interesting and quirky, and teems with birds, insects and frogs. Most highly...

We really enjoyed the Teepee tent experience. The room was very clean and neat. Bed was always made up for us. The staff even went as far as to refill the kettle with water for us. The owners was also very helpful and friendly. There was only one thing that I would have changed. We love to braai and camp so our 4x4 is always packed ready for a camp outing so we would have like to braai but I did not want to pay extra to use the braai. BUT that is by no means a reason to complain our stay was great. I would recommend it to everyone.
