Jane's Guest House on the Bay — Hotel in Saldanha Bay Local Municipality

First morning, I woke up to no water in the taps.thus was late for work that day. Breakfast was always late even after I was asked what time I would have it. I found a guy parked at the gate and he signaled that I open and I refused. He moved his car to make way for my friend who was dropping me off. As soon as we went inside the premises, he quickly followed us. Got of my friend’s car as I was walking towards my room. I noticed this guy had a night in his hand. I was so scared, quickly ran out calling for my friend to stop as she was already driving off. Told her was I saw and called the Redevaan who simply said that’s a client. Even after I told him I was fearing for my safety and my child’s. He seemed unbothered by the whole situation. There was a different issue every day for the 9 days I spent there. Family vacation - first time for our kids in the Western Cape. ||We were advised with a video via whatsap that we will be staying in another unit than what we booked. The place looked decent in the video and we were fine with it. Upon arriving at the unit it was totally different and so smelly and disappointing. The couches were broken and worn, feeling the wood sticking through. The cupboards inside were dirty and the two stoves provided barely worked. It was not worth paying to stay there. The toilet paper was close to news paper and the locks broken on the sliding door. It's not a very nice feel to stay in the small complex the unit was in. No holiday vibes. We couldn't find someone to return the keys to either. Not accepting our calls or WhatsApp messages either. We will highly likely never return to Saldanha bay...

Spent two nights on a business trip to Saldanha Bay. I will preface my comments with this: you pay what you get, and Janes is relatively affordable. So, do not expect over the top luxury. That aside, its in a beautiful setting, looks nice from the street and has a lovely charm and feel. I was in two sea facing rooms in my stay and they are not the same. One had a tiny toilet and bathroom and the other much larger and dignified. Three things that they could improve. The place sorely needs a revamp. Floor boards, curtains, lights etc. Some of the nooks and crannies also require thorough cleaning. There is grime. And Rudwaan (?) who is in charge needs help. He has to do everything and inevitable he misses or...
