Explorer Guesthouse — Hotel in Somerset West

A very warm welcome and easy check in. Joane and Guy are insane hosts. The Guesthouse is perfectly located to discover the surroundings of Sommerset West and the hole Cape. We got great tailor made recommendations from our hosts, which you wouldn’t find in a guide. Great Vineyards are near by. We got a feeling about the local vibes and we loved it. The breakfast was delicious and fresh made from Joane and Guy. In addition we really enjoyed the private atmosphere in the garden at the pool with a nice panorama. But the very best thing was the arraigned bike tour with Guy. He knows the area around him and will have the right recommendation for you, if needed. We really got fresh new vibes from that journey. We enjoyed meeting you both and appreciate your willingness to assist with our numerous requests :)||||If I may make a couple of minor suggestions, I found the bed a bit too soft - know this is guest specific but thought I would mention it. ||||Also the breakfast (bacon and eggs) portions could be a little bit more, and maybe add some fried tomatoes or mushrooms, but the quality of the food was outstanding. ||||Lastly, it would be nice to have plugs next to the bed for phone charging. The staff are helpful and friendly and always ready to assist you. Our room and bathroom was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. There is an electric kettle with cups and wine glasses and a good size fridge. The outside area has lovely seating and the swimming pool and gardens are spotless. Breakfast was great with a nice variety and everything was fresh and tasty. The view from the garden across False Bay is wonderful. Easy to explore the various wine farms in the area and to get to Strand beach. I can highly recommend the...
