I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a wine tasting at Bartinney Wine Estate, and it was a delightful experience. The "Tasting Shed" is charmingly decorated and offers breath-taking views of the valley below with lots of photo opportunities. The ambiance alone was worth the trip. While the tasting area was on the smaller side, it was not overcrowded during our visit, which added to the intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Bartinney offers three tasting options, and we opted for the standard tasting, which included three wines. The white wines, in particular, left a lasting impression and were a standout for us. Their other tasting options include a wine and fynbos pairing as well as a gin tasting, which looked very interesting and is something I will definitely be trying on my next visit. One thing that truly impressed us was their attention to detail, including using the correct glasses for each wine varietal. It's clear that they take their craft seriously. We also couldn't help but notice that they seemed to be quite popular, so I'd strongly recommend making a reservation in advance to secure a spot. Bartinney Wine Estate offers a wonderful escape into the world of fine wines and a serene setting, making it a must-visit for wine enthusiasts, and I am looking forward...

Everything and everyone at Bartinney was excellent from start to finish! I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Marc was my guide while I was there, greeting me from the very beginning, helping carry my heavy bags to my room, and orienting me to the property. He was also provided me with a detailed list of local wineries to tour while I was there. He was an absolute joy to communicate with and was a wealth of knowledge. The room was better than the pictures and extremely clean. That is always something that is important to me wherever I stay. I wish I would have more time in the beautiful loft! All the other staff were exceptional as well - Carmen works at the winery and provided me with a unique experience at another winery since her husband works there. It was a total surprise and so incredibly sweet. I also had the privilege of having lovely, and extensive, conversations with Eugene about the area and his life thus far. It truly was a delight. He was so knowledgeable about the wines and helped make sure the wine I ordered to my home was a seamless process. Overall, my experience at Bartinney was exceptional and it was perfectly located close to so many other amazing wineries. I can't wait to go back in...

I called to make a booking, as your website clearly states that bookings are required for the tasting I was interested in. The experience was shockingly disappointing.

After waiting an unnecessarily long time for someone to answer the phone, I was greeted by a staff member who sounded irritated and completely uninterested in helping me. When I explained that I wanted to book a tasting for my husband's birthday, she rudely said no and that we should "just come in."

When I tried to clarify, she responded in an exasperated tone, saying she was "too busy" for me and would call me back when SHE has time—without even taking my number and she abruptly hung up. There was no courtesy, no professionalism, and not even a simple "thank you for your call."

If this is how you treat potential customers, then your farm is a joke. It’s completely unacceptable to treat people this way, especially when they are following your own stated policy. I won’t be visiting, and I certainly won’t recommend...

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful farm with its majestic views. The staff were incredibly informative and made our visit truly enjoyable. However, we were deeply disappointed to learn that the staff do not receive their tips in full. As someone who tips based on the quality of service provided, I find it unacceptable that the wine ambassadors, who work tirelessly to promote the brand, are not receiving their well deserved gratuities. It’s important for management to recognize that tips are a reflection of exceptional service, not the cleanliness of the premises. Your ambassadors are the heart of your brand, doing more to promote it through their dedication and customer care than any marketing effort ever could especially when the marketing includes posting incorrect opening times on the website. Please ensure that your ambassadors receive their full tips; they’ve earned it through their outstanding service.

Wow...this has to be one of thee most beautiful views from a wine tasting area...the drive to the cellar is stunning, it's offroad so prepare for dirt roads...the cellar is located in a beautiful part of the banghoek valley on a ridge...there is nature trails & cycling trails as well...the service is friendly...there are 3 levels for seating with all 3 having stunning views...there is platters on offer catering to different size crowds...the wines are not bad with choice of wines & sparkling wines options...the place was packed to capacity & can get very busy...we loved to 3 lazy hounds that loved to be petted & cuddled...
