We enjoyed 3 nights at this well-appointed guest house located on the edge of town. Our room was small but adequate for our needs and the budget offering of what is available so we could not expect too much. It was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The main house was lovely although for some reason we both felt quite self-conscious about utilising the communal area and so tended to stay in our room when we were not out exploring all that Stellenbosch and the Winelands had to offer. The German owners were pleasant and helpful if and when we had any questions. ||||It should be noted that the guest house is an approximate 30 minute walk into town. However we knew this beforehand and in actual fact we enjoyed what is a simple and picturesque walk through this leafy suburb before reaching the famous University town itself. Even if walking that distance is not appealing then fret not as Uber is plentiful in Stellenbosch and very easy to utilise via the app. All in all we had a nice stay and would recommend it to other guests planning a stay...
Read moreWe spend three nights at Keren’s Vine, initially. When proceeding to our next location in the cape region we decided to change plan and go back to that place for another night. Why? Because:||It’s perfectly located in the eastern part of Stellenbosch, close to the university, with a few minutes’ drive to the city center. You’ll enjoy a stunning view from the terrace into the Stellenbosch mountains. Kerstin and Rene have created a prime B&B with not a single con to report. The rooms are spacious and affectionately arranged. The bathroom easily competes with globally recognized 5 Star Hotels. It is perfectly maintained and the hosts are attentive any time with all valuable information you’ll need to have a memorable time in the region – and youl’ll always have a laugh with them. We will certainly come back when in South Africa next time. ||I sincerely hope Kerstin and Rene will go on for long with...
Read moreThis stylish bed and breakfast offers comfortable, quiet and clean accommodation. We had our own patio as well. The owners were very helpful in arranging restaurant bookings and tours of the vineyards at short notice. Breakfast was on the terrace by the pool and cooked to our requirements. The property is a short drive from the centre of Stellenbosch in a residential area and so we did not feel it was within walking distance of the...
