Le Manoir de Brendel — Hotel in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

We needed two rooms. I had booked the hotel via WhatsApp app chat with the hotel manager. |The weather in Franschhoek was quite hot requiring AC. Arrived at about 10:30 am and didn't see any guests or parked cars. Walked into the hotel lobby and we were told the rooms would not be ready until 2 pm. Not a problem went into town for a few hours and returned around 2:00 pm. Still didn't see any others guests. A very nice person showed us to our rooms. Very nice I turned on the AC. Next door in the other room no AC controls. |We went for a wine tasting and inquired about the AC not working. We were informed that it was broken and someone was working on it. There was no one. We asked for another room and were told that all of the AC didn't work. Our only choice was to leave. |We wasted a lot of time going back and forth with the hotel.||Why didn't they tell us that the AC wasn't working upfront????||It ended up working out for the best, as we checked into the super nice and...

This place was the most outstanding and delightful stay we had during our time in South Africa. Charmaine the manageress made our stay so memorable. Such attention to detail from the moment you enter, faultless, perfect, wonderful service. Totally delicious breakfast with an abundance of choice, hot breakfast cooked perfectly. The rooms are inviting and spacious, extremely clean and all you could wish for, bed was so comfortable, even slippers and gowns supplied, tea and coffee and complimentary bottle of wine and sherry. We can’t thank Charmaine enough, an outstanding manager who is there to greet you, to help with places to go and great knowledge on all the area. She runs this beautiful establishment so brilliantly with charm and a clear love for the hospitality industry, she goes above and beyond all customer expectations, her management is simply brilliant. Le Manoir de Brendel was the perfect choice for our intimate wedding! My husband and I decided to come all the way from Germany to celebrate our wedding in Franschhoek. Even though we had never been to Le Manoir de Brendel and had to organise everything from abroad, it wasn’t difficult at all, since Charmaine has done a wonderful job responding to every little request we had. It is incredible how much time she invested to make sure everything would turn out just the way we wanted it to be. In the end we had a small and intimate wedding at the best possible venue.
