Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the Simonsberg cottage, a recently refurbished accommodation right next to the estate’s main building. The room itself was clean and well-appointed. Included in the price was a wine and cheese tasting which we enjoyed a lot. Lola and her team were friendly, and we loved the presence of several dogs, especially Arthur, the Irish Wolfshound.

Read moreThe winery is beautifully located at the Simonsberg. We had a very nice tasting. It is rather small and very personal and not the mass event like in many other wineries. The idea of having cheese as a teaser for the different wines is really funny. They should still provide water and bread as standard. But that was available upon request. The tour through the wines was given by a beginner and not very professional, but it was very kind & friendly. Anyway, I prefer it if the products don't have to be advertised but rather speak for themselves.
