We really enjoyed our stay in the quaint village of Barrydale in late October 2014. We stayed two nights at the Inkaroo Cottage and loved it.
The cottage has such a lovely feel. The decor is tasteful and so much thought has gone into ensuring everything one could need is available. We enjoyed the downstairs main bedroom but I can just imagine how my kids would have loved the loft room under the eaves.
The location is excellent. Being positioned on the edge overlooking the village there is peace and quiet and privacy, and yet it is a very easy walk down into the village.

Read moreWhat a pity that what was supposed to be a beautiful weekend was spoiled by Dan the owner , he was not there to meet us , the cottage was broken into / of some how the window was broken and he knew about it but could not be bothered to fix it , He made us drive 250km to arrive at a cottage that we could not stay in , the owner was abusive over the phone and should rather not run a cottage , he did however refund me in full , lucky the people from The Hotel arranged accommodation for us and our 2 furr kids for the evening and drove back the next day , rather book somewhere else, pity as the place...

The cottage is close enough to walk to the local restaurants and wander around the town. We really enjoyed breakfasts on the comfy patio listening to birds feeding in the nearby trees, as well as visits from the neighbouring dog and cat. The cottage is well designed and creatively decorated, and the outside areas are lovely to spend time in.
