At first glance this guesthouse ticks all the boxes. Beautifully finished, private suites, secure parking and attentive staff. It's on the little details that this place fails. ||Things like no bedside light switches, so if you're a reader, you'll need to get out of bed, walk across a cold floor, to switch the lights off. Each suite has a mini kitchenette, well stocked with utensils and crockery. Other than a kettle and a microwave, there is no way to prepare a meal there. ||The bed is beautifully made up, however each of the 4 pillows are bound in a silver velour strip and velcro'd together. As is the bed itself with the binding going right around the mattress. It took a while to unmake the bed, so it could actually be comfortable. The decorative cushions look beautiful however removing them from the bed, for sleeping, covers the entire one side of the bed gap, next to the wall. Thankfully I was travelling solo, so this didn't impact me too much. ||The rooms are cold. Bitterly so. Even with an air con in the room, the heating mode just never managed to remove the chill. Added to bare floors mostly (other than a rug in the lounge) the rooms are not as comfortable as they could be. ||I found the traditional lock and key, used in the rooms to be frustrating. I'd much prefer to be able to autolock from the inside, instead I regularly forgot the key on the outside. ||On a positive note, the shower is amazing and the staff are really very pleasant. I wanted to like this place but all the little oversights add up to make this a rather...
Read moreTerrible. Very expensive and uou would expect top accommodation.
Although the facilities are impressive it was on the upper end of 5 star guest houses but unfortunately without the professionalism expected for the kind of money you pay. R1000 per night excl. Breakfast
The wifi was non existend due the the guesthouse reaching their fair use limit. Can only be die to a not sufficient broadband package. Stinks of skimping on something very important to the business traveller.
Spent 2 nights in Winter both with cold water. Not exceptable.
Sorry, Potchefstroom have more affordable offers with hot water and...

We will defenetely stay here again. Thank you for the lovely stay at you...
