I made a reservation at this guest lodge through Booking.com, and unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of appalling. Shortly after booking, I received a call from the lodge owner. Instead of a cordial conversation or helpful assistance, I was aggressively told that my booking was unacceptable due to the racial background of our staff. The woman on the phone shouted at me and demanded that I cancel the reservation immediately because, in her words, she was "not willing to accept them" solely based on their race.||This experience was incredibly hurtful, unprofessional, and discriminatory. It is appalling to encounter such blatant racism and hostility, especially when all we wanted was to enjoy a peaceful stay. I was made to feel unwelcome and less than human simply because of the color of my staff’s skin.||I would strongly advise anyone considering this establishment to think twice. The behavior exhibited by the lodge owner is completely unacceptable and reflects a deep lack of respect for diversity and basic human dignity. After confirming my reservation, I received an alarming and hostile phone call from the lady managing the lodge. She immediately started shouting at me and demanded that I cancel my booking. When I asked why, she explicitly stated that she would not accept my staff because they are Black. This kind of racial discrimination is not only unacceptable, but it’s also deeply disturbing.
As someone who values diversity and inclusivity, I was appalled by her rude and discriminatory behavior. I was left feeling completely unwelcome, and it’s incredibly upsetting to know that such attitudes still exist in this day and age.
I would highly recommend that anyone considering staying here reconsider their decision, especially if they value fairness, respect, and inclusivity. No one should have to face such treatment, especially based on their race.
