Karoo Koppie Guesthouse — Hotel in Umsobomvu Local Municipality

This was a lovely overnight stay on our way back to Cape Town from Johannesburg. The hosts were very friendly and told us to shout if we need anything. After we checked in and unpacked the essentials we went for dinner at one of the nearby restaurants, which was within walking distance of the accommodation. The room was clean and spacious, and we had everything we needed for our quick visit. They were also very accommodating about us travelling with pets. The garden is lovely and the deck is a nice relaxing space to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the morning. There are a few steps to climb which can be off putting to some, but we enjoyed having such a nice elevated view of the town and the sunset. This was one of the best places we stayed during our trip to South Africa. The staff were friendly and kept in communication with us before arrival. The room had a beautiful view and was equipped with everything we could possibly need to feel comfortable. The place was clean, but everything felt a bit threadbare. The owner was very sweet, but the place was functional with no extras. Some items could be removed such as the old jars of candles and the plastic mats in the shower. Of the five places stayed on this trip this was the second least favorite, but did cost less than the other accommodation we booked...
