Blue Horizon Guest House — Hotel in Western Cape

We had booked a particular room for our Wedding night but on arrival the owner, Karen McFarlane upgraded us to the very beautiful Deluxe Suite. The purple and white room was the corner unit on the first floor and had the most breathtaking view of False Bay and the town of Gordons bay. Complimentary gowns were laid out on the Kingsize bed which was extremely comfortable and encased in crisp white sheets and pillows. It was so luxurious, we did not want to leave its confines. The fully equipped kitchenette behind a cupboard was a lovely surprise and so practical, with complimentary coffee and biscuits and there was the option to purchase little extras in the bar fridge. The breakfast was scrumptious and there was an array to choose from on the set menu with all the extras on the side board from breads, cheeses, muffins, filter coffee, fresh juices etc.. All the little extras in the room were awesome too, which included free WiFi,airconditioning & DSTV package. The folding concertina doors just allowed the soft night air to enter the room and the whole ambience was just unbelievable as we sat on the patio enjoying the beautiful sunset. A tranquil, well situated and well maintained guesthouse in the mountainside of Gordon's Bay.

Most rooms boasr spectacular views of the mountains, sea or both. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the one we stayed in even had a small kitchenette and a lounge.

The very friendly reception was offered even late after normal check-in time.

Our very specific dietary requirements were catered to precisely and by very friendly staff.

They even provided a room for us to use to dress in after check-out time.
