I almost gave this hike a 2 or 3 star because I got there and wasn't sure where to park there's no designated parking area and the street is quite narrow so felt too guilty to park there. Eventually parked and walked up and went in the wrong direction made our way back and found the correct path. It took us about an hour to get to the GB sign (because we got lost in the beginning) this is where u can sit rest have a snack enjoy the view. If u continue straight ahead you end up at another entrance to the hike on the street by then you're probably about 2kms away from your car you can then decide to walk via the road or turn around and go back the way you came. We chose to make the GB sign our peak and turned around there and walked back to the car which then took us only like 40mins. In the end it was a beautiful hike Was very windy but was safe enough to do in the wind. I would definitely suggest a cap and sunglasses because you're in the sun all the way so its quite warm but still the wind made it chilli so have a warm top wrapped around your waist just incase. So in the end it deserves more than two or three stars it was still really a beautiful hike and definitely an easy one for...

This is one of my favorite local trails with views that are never disappointing. You start off on a gravel incline leading you to the trail starting point- this serves as a decent warm up with. The trail is suitable for beginners to intermediate hikers- a medium leveld trail suitable for newbies with a few exciting sections such as the waterfall, and GB sign. It has enough room to sit and catch ones breath, but keep in mind the trail is single laned. As with all hiking there are lose rocks, and stone clusters to be cautious of. In Autum the waterfall is an amazing attraction. The best times to venture out are for sunset hikes, early morning hikes in Autumn and Spring. It takes roughly about 1.5 hours in an average total depending on the pace of the hiker as well as how long one decides to relax at the GB sign, which I call the look out point. This trail is not too strenuous yet it is packed with a good amount of character for the more...

Great little hiking trail just above the beautiful Gordonsbay on the mountains. It is a fairly easy trail which we completed with our kids and dogs in about 3 hours. You get some fascinating views of the town of Gordonsbay, the harbour and the beach and also the entire false bay. On a clear sky day you might be able to see as far as Muzinberg and Simonstown. You will be crossing over some small creeks running down the mountain. Most of the trail is in direct sun so come with a good hat. Remember to take a memory photo one you reach the iconic GB sign on the mountain. Pause a bit to enjoy the great views and thank God for His...

Did not do the full trail, but going to soon. Beautiful views of Strand and Somerset West. Also the incline is beginner friendly. Even young kids can walk it if accompanied by adults or older teens. There are some places where there is high steps with rocks, and where you need to cross a small concrete path with water where children need assistance. Best time to start walking would be around 15 to 7, also put on sunscreen and take some sunglasses for later the morning.🌞 Groups of 3 or more should be safe, saw no sketchy figures on the way there and back. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did if you give it a try!
