Myeongjak Hotel — Hotel in Chuncheon-si

Do not trust the images of the hotel, inside or out. All have been photoshopped and the real thing looks very, very different. Building is in a very seedy neighborhood with the closest business being the Bikini Club, the clientale of which probably frequent the hotel on a regular basis. Parking is extremely limited and insufficient for the hotel…you may have to park on the street. Unlike the bright well-appointed rooms in the photos, the room we were assigned was painted black floor to ceiling. There were holes in the walls from thrown objects. Room stank of mildew, alcohol and smoke. Air conditioning did not work. Bedding is worn and threadbare. And note that this was presumably their best deluxe room. We left immediately in disgust but the owner refused any refund and charged us for 2 nights in direct violation of his own cancellation policy. DO NOT STAY...
