Absolutely one of the worse stays I have had in my life time. This includes staying at motel 6 or La Quinta’s I’ll. The US.||1. Cleanliness- the hotel provides slippers and I put them I. The first day while in the room. When it was time for bed I had lifted up my slipper and noticed so much hair , it even mine it was long an it was everywhere… first day! ||COMFORT |1. noticed that the air conditioner did not work at all, luckily this time of year I was able to open the window to at least keep it tolerable.|2. To much noise coming from outside due to all the terrible restaurants near by. People be yelling at night drunk around 12-2am. Pretty much the entire week. I stayed for 3 weeks on business||3. Bedroom comfort was absolutely terrible and did not get much rest at all. It was an old spring mattress that was so stiff and not comforting. I grew up fairly poor and still had better mattress than that. My rack I had when I was underway in the navy was more comfortable. Same with all the chairs in the room. It was so stiff as if sitting on the hardest wood known to man. The desk chair was the same.||4. Tv only had like 4 English channels and no option to even change the controls to English to I put Netflix credentials. WIFI DIDNT WORK WITHOUT BUFFERING AT LEAST THE FREE WIFI. You actually get more amenities in jail lol.||5. Breakfast was the same buffet everyday so I only ate there a few days. It was ok but not something I would like to eat everyday. Also no microwave in the room.|6. Laundry roomhas 3 washers and two dryers. For some reason floor is wet frequently as of the washers don’t...
Read moreMy stay in Dongtan Ramada was 44 days long for a business trip. I am giving the staff a 5 star rating because these ladies and gentlemen were amazing. They were always available to help answer questions about traveling to Seoul or other destinations, they provided bus routes, called taxi's whenever we needed them, offered advice on local restaurants, were always pleasant and were overall the best part about my stay here. I'm not really thrilled about the black taxi's here in Dongtan, but when there were issues, the Ramada staff immediately took care of whatever issue occurred. That is also another reason the staff is fantastic. Not every company has perfect results 100% of the time. Because issues can come up out of no where, its interesting to see how a company will respond. These folks did a knockout job of ensuring that issues were resolved on the spot and that we were happy. I would recommend this hotel to ANYONE who stays here. I will also be advising my work that this is the hotel our company should stay in every time we travel to South Korea.
A couple of bonus tips from the staff is that they provided a few free beers a week and bottled water every day. They even tossed in a small can of pringles, which I have to tell you was a nice treat when I missed food from back home. These folks are good at what they do and deserve all the praise I can give them.
Great job guys and give your staff a raise! They work hard and really reflect how a good hotel should treat their...
Read moreThe hotel is convenient located in Dongtan, adjacent to an area with many small shops and restaurants. The staff at the reception is friendly and they can speak English. In the same building, with an entrance to the reception area on the first floor, is a coffee shop (Coffee Beans) with very good coffee, tea, donuts and cakes and very friendly staff. So you don't need to pay for breakfast at the hotel.I did not like the large bright screen fixed to the wall in the room to control air conditioning (that additionally can be controlled by a small operation panel), lighting and 100 more options, all not accessible, because the language can not be changed to English (or that option is so deeply hidden in the Korean menu that I did not find it).I did not find how to switch this panel off at night, and it was so bright that it was really disturbing.Summary: I have been in that hotel before, will go there again, but I hope they can do something about this large and bright...
