I have stayed in a few Lotte Hotels while in Korea and I can say that the Polo Tourist Hotel is finer than all of them. ||||On arrival I was met by the night manager (Im sorry I did not get his name) he was so courteous and concerned about my arrival because I had arrived close to midnight. He took me to my room and settled me in. He then waited until I return to the lobby and showed me where I could find something to eat. ||||I had booked the Deluxe room through a website, I was so impressed with the room. It was as big and full of all the amenities you could want in a room and more. It had a sitting area with 2 leather chairs, a King size bed, a table top computer, 40 or 50 inch TV, separate shower and tub, free non alcoholic beverages in the fridge, several different types of shampoo, conditioners and soaps to choose from, even cleaning stuff for your shoes. The room was spotless, floors clean, not a single black spot anywhere in the room. ||||The location in Incheon was great, a 30 second walk and your in the middle of every kind of Korean food you want to eat including some night life activities if you desire. The Soraepogu fish market is just 5 minutes walk away where you can purchase everything from the sea including fresh live King crab to abalone. If your into eating the best seafood available this is the pace for you. There are many tent style place all over selling all types of tempura from shrimp to vegetable, all about $1 each piece. Even if you dont eat korean food you will enjoy the tempura. ||||Having traveled the world and staying in many hotels I give the Polo Hotel a 5 star rating, their service, professionalism and room is unmatched in my opinion.||||If your the adventurist type you can catch the Korail from Incheon airport to the Hotel. Catch the train from the airport, get off at geyang station, transfer onto Incheon 1 line to Wononjae station, transfer onto suin line and get off at Soraepogu station, The hotel is 3 minute walk from the station. Cost is $4 oneway, taxi will cost you $40 to $50 oneway. It will take about 2 hours but its worth the time. ||||To all the people from Hawaii visiting korea, you must stop in Incheon to see the fish market and stay in this hotel, I would not recommend this if it were not the top quality we expect...
Read moreWe stopover regularly in Seoul, and have tried 5 hotels. This is a 50,000 won taxi ride from Incheon airport and worth every cent. Polo Hotel management and staff are so welcoming and the hotel is immaculate. Our room had every conceivable comfort and convenience - underfloor heating, electric blanket, good free wifi, tea/coffee maker, vast range of toiletries, a delightful indoor garden, a huge outdoor terrace, big comfortable beds with lots of pillows and crisp white luxury linen, plenty of fluffy towels, spa, great shower and lots of other little unexpected extras. Breakfast, included, was all we wanted - cereal, fresh fruit, toast and coffee. If you've no need to stay right in the heart of Seoul, Polo Hotel is in a very interesting location convenient to the airport - don't miss a visit to the spectacular riverside Sorae Pogu seafood market, a Korean BBQ restaurant (many nearby where we were warmly welcomed and given great service), a lovely cafe for the must-have espresso or latte, convenience stores and more. We were welcomed everywhere and had the feeling this area is not much visited by overseas travellers. We look forward to staying again and exploring the locality further. The subway station is just over the road and though we didn't use it we understand travel time to downtown Seoul is less than 50 minutes. Recommended as a fine stopover if you have a day or so to spend and want to see something of Korean life on your own, close by a supremely comfortable and...
Read moreI arrived very early in the morning and decided to go for an adventure by taking the train from the airport to the hotel. Except for 2 transfers, the location is actually very accessible. It's very near the fish market and the train station were you can catch a train to central park in Songdo.|The room was clean with everything you need! Everything is provided-from toiletries to computers inside your room. The fridge is filled with canned drinks and bottled waters and they were all free of charge. Breakfast is included as well. Basic but better than nothing.|But what impressed me most is the staff. They are very accomodating and welcoming. They made sure I got the rest that I needed after a long haul flight and answered questions that I have and provided me with a card with the hotel name and number written in hangul in case I got lost.|It's a very good place to stay and I will definitely stay again if I'm...
