디아넥스호텔(The Annex) — Hotel in Seogwipo-si

First of all, the primary reason of choosing The Annex was the Aragonite hotspring which didn't disappoint.  The inclusions of cold, warm and hot baths catered to everybody's preference.  It was my first time to try the foot dryer after cleaning up.  We went there several times on several days and it was not crowded.

The breakfast had a few new items every morning so that there was always something else that we could try.  The availability of both western and Korean food items could satisfy everyone's appetite.  It was my first time to try the squid ink bread.  To make the breakfast even better was that we were always be given a table next to the iconic pond where you could see geese and ducks also taking their breakfast.

Regarding the hotel, it was small in terms of number of rooms.  However, the hallways were extra wide with rooms on one side only.  There were plenty of amenities such as the library (book cafe) and the courtyard to hang out.  The ambiance was always tranquil and pleasant.

Regarding the room, we had the family suite with two bedrooms.  The fridge had bottled water, juices and snacks enough for 4 adults in one day.  The two bottle sterilizers for cups and wine glasses were a first to me.  The door was extra thick (like 10") feeling like those of panic rooms so that we didn't hear anything from the hallway or next door.

The room is huge, clean and has everything you will need. You can ask for a steamer from the housekeeping if you need to steam your clothes. The location is away from everything but very beautiful and quiet. The hotel does not have anyone to help us with the luggage upon checking in and checking out which is weird for a big hotel like this so if you have big luggage you might have to manage it yourself. 본태박물관 옆에 있는 호텔로 흰색 온천수가 나오는 사우나가 있음. 산방산 탄산온천과 온천수 색은 유사하지만 느낌은 많이 다름. 사우나 규모는 크지 않지만 온천을 즐기기에는 적당함.

공내온도 72℃, 토출온도 42℃로 약 알칼리성으로 무난하고 감촉이 깨끗하며, 칼슘이나 이산화탄소를 풍부하게 함유하고 있어 목욕 뒤에 한기가 적게 느껴지고 신진대사가 원활하게 되어 피부미용, 노화방지, 피로회복, 소화기 질환, 관절통 등 각종 질병 예방 및 치유에 탁월한 효능이 있어 힐링 온천이라 할 수 있다.
