Me and my 4 friends was staying at this hotel for 4 days. I have mixer feelings. The reception did speak some english, though sometimes there were problems understanding each other.||The hotel is in no walking distance of any activities, so retning a car or go by taxi is a must. ||We had problems with the AC in one of the rooms we stayed in. It caused lack of sleep due to the AC tuning on and off constantly during the night. When we noted to this in the reception, they first pointed that WE did not now how to use it which made us furious . They refused to believe that there was something wrong with the AC. We did not even brother try get some sense in them to fix it. ||Worth noting that there is NO FREE BREAKFAST. We were informed when booking that We would recive it for free so with that in mind, We went down to eat every now and then. It was a mild surprise when it came to checkout that We had to pay 100.000 won for breakfast! First of all. An absolute ripoff of 25k won/per person for a very poorly made breakfast. Better Off going with taxi 5 min and get something proper for 5-8k won. ||What made me absolutely insane is that we discussed a very long time that this was nothing We were going to pay as we had been informed it was free. I believe it must have been a problem between Expedia and this hotel. Regardless of this, they still did not drop the Bill which clearly was not our fault. After raising My voice, which I really dont like doing, discussing back and forth they probably realised that We were upset and they dropped the bill.||The rooms are nice though, as well...

Read moreI made a reservation from booking.com and received confirmation. When we arrived to check in, they said they were completely booked and could not honor my reservation. So here I am, left stranded at the hotel with my wife and two kids. It's early August, hot and humid as heck and instead of either putting me in a room, help me find a room at another hotel, or even offer some sort of voucher for a reduced or free stay when rooms are available, they differed me to booking.com!||||When I spoke with the agents at booking.com, they advised me the Grand Mer hotel had not updated their systems to reflect the number of rooms available. Now it becomes a he said/she said issue. I'm leaning towards believing booking.com. From my understanding, rooms are made available and communicated to these hotel booking sites. If rooms are no longer available, the hotel should be contacting the sites to update availability. Bad form and service from this hotel. ||||I travel quite a bit for business and my family and I come to Korea every summer and in all my years of travel and hotel stays, I've never experienced such lack of care, service and professionalism. ||||I know many users of tripadvisor also use the linking for hotel stays. I suggest you look elsewhere and avoid even the 1% chance they don't honor your reservation even if confirmation...
