Olleyo Resort — Hotel in Seogwipo-si

Let's start from breakfast.||You will get coffee, tea, milk, orange juice from concentrate. Egg. Toast. Marmalade.||That's it. I strongly advice to talk your own butter, or... even consider eating somewhere else. ||||The room is quite basic. Air conditioner was like a tractor (no way you can sleep with it when it's turned on). Unfortunately it was quite hot as well. ||There was a mirror in a bathroom. However it was there for so long that you wouldn't be able to see your clear reflection. ||Nice thing - there was a bath next to the window in main room. It's a pity there was a lot of dirt once we have turned on bubbles. Have not used due to it.||There is small fridge, and basic kitchen in a room (means you can prepare your own meals there).||We have been on 5th floor. There is a lot of green, small island, sea and a lot of greenhouses around. ||||There was no cleaning service next day. There was just one large towel and 4 small ones (replaced next day).||||It was quite far from places where you can eat something, shops, city center.||||In general I was not overexcited and I would try to avoid it next...

The front staff and owners were quite unprofessional. They were wholly unprepared for my reservation. They kept insisting I hadn't booked with them (I had, through Agoda) and it took 20 minutes to check in. Even when they finally found me in their system, no apology. I got the impression that they had never worked in hotels ever before; they worked as if it was a hobby. No real sense of customer care, calm behavior. Instead we got treated with frantic, unorganized and stressful bumbling. The rooms are quite small and don't have a table or desk. However, the saving grace was that the beds were comfy, the water and floors were warm, and the morning sunrise was amazing. Pros: -Clean room -Good location -Great view of the ocean -Air conditioning worked well

Cons: -Internet was spotty at best. Didn't work 75% of the time. -Bed was hard -When I turned on the jets for the tub, algae or some -kind of green leafy material came out, so I never ended up using the tub. -Staff spoke almost no English, but I didn't count that against my review since I'm staying in their country, so I know I can't expect that. Still, it would have been nice if they did.

For the price, this is a decent place to stay in the Seogwipo area. Assuming you're only going to be here to sleep and shower, it's really pretty good. Don't expect good internet though. If $50/night is your maximum budget, Olleyo is a...
