This is day 2, the staff are great and most of them either fully understand English or you are able to communicate mostly with them anyway. Lost of great street shops and coffee shops nearby. Don't drink the coffee at the resort, it is horribly bitter and absolutely awful. I couldn't finish my espresso shot. The STANDARD ROOM comes with cleaning every 2 days, a hot water kettle but no coffee, refrigerator and and microwave, TV, bidet, shower but no bath, stocked kitchenette with dining table and private patio. The drawback to this resort, new towels are provided only if you exchange your towel in the front office their words "if you have a dirty towel and want a clean one bring the dirty towel to the front office and we turn it into a clean one, no room service". No service animals allowed! That one surprised me, seriously no pets under any condition. There is no closet or dresser style furniture only an extra counter space and a rolling hangar bar. No cabinet in the bathroom at all. For those people who come in small packages the towels in the bathroom are 1ft from the 8 ft ceiling in the bathroom. The towels that are hanging are easily accessible, but, the rolled extra towels are very much out of easy reach for most of the population. Breakfast has a make your own egg station, but, not alot of variety and is only open from...
ย ย ย Read moreBe aware that a lot of the reviews for this hotel are out of date. There are now at least six restaurants within close walking distance, including an amazing sushi place and pizza/pasta place. We didnโt have a car and it really wasnโt a problem; hotel staff called a taxi for us and one would arrive in minutes. Taxis here are much cheaper than the US, it cost about $4-5 to go to World Cup Stadium where you can connect to the airport bus or other lines. We stayed in room 304, which as a great view of the ocean on one side (although the view of Tiger Island is partially blocked by another hotel) and of Mt. Halla out the kitchen window. The village around the hotel is lively, as itโs a great place to walk/run and take in the waters (no beaches, although the hotel has a small pool). The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff was quick to respond to any needs. Wonderful breakfast anchored by all you can eat eggs, which you can fry yourself, and sausage, although there is also cereals and other foods. If you are really looking to โget awayโ from the city and more tourist areas, this location and hotel are a...
ย ย ย Read moreI loved this place, my wife not so much. The room was fantastic, very clean and very large, maybe 50 sqm. A junior suite with a small kitchen. The view over the sea from the large balcony was amazing. A simple breakfast included, all at a modest price. The location is a bit off. There is no dinner restaurant in the hotel but there are a few in walking distance. But I would say you need a car to stay here. Plenty of free parking. And now why my wife didn't like it. The towels are very small, like dishing towels. This could be an easy fix by the place. The shower gel and shampoo comes in small bags. Better if they had not one time bottles but bigger ones. The cleaning was only every second day, but that did not bother me. The staff did not speak good English but that could be overcome. In summary, I would...
