Casa Flores del Mediterráneo, — Hotel in Badalona

We had a pretty strange stay here some years ago. The host seemed very friendly and offered us breakfast. Throughout the stay she offered us water all day, and could not leave us alone. We almost could not get a break from her, but the relationship was friendly. Because we were offered water all throughout the day, and we were told it was allowed to take water from the fridge in the public kitchen, we once got a bottle of water from the fridge in the fridge ourselves. That prompted her to send me a very long angry text, accusing us of stealing water and food and abusing her hospitality. I have no idea what we did to cause this, and apart from the water none of the accusations are true. My clothing was washed without my asking. We always got our own lunch, dinner and snacks outside of the hotel. This text was quite shocking, especially considering my boyfriend even helped carry a 2 metre tall water heater up the stairs after the old one had broken. It was a weird experience. The hot water supply for the showers is way too short. It's sad to see on Google and Booking that the host does not take any feedback from critical reviews, and tells disappointed guests that they "don't respect the objective facts" and that their reviews are...

The house and rooms are very well kept and beautiful. You can use the kitchen, there is a sun terrace and a little lounge to sit outside downstairs in the shade. The metro line is just a few minutes away, which can get you to all major attractions very fast, the bus stop (also for the night bus!) is also very close, so it really is no problem that the property is out of the city centre in Barcelona. But our main highlight was the hostess Fuyjuan! She is a very kind and welcoming lady who made us feel like family! The location is ok and very near subway so it is easy to reach Barcelona city. We parked on the street so we don't need to move car ( backyard is limited and all cars are in one line). The room was big, but it is attic so for tall people like us only the middle of the room was ok to walked. Only small window without net so small lizards wanted to enter or close it and there is no fresh air. Hostes put a lot effort. She doesn't speak English or German so she uses Google translate the whole time. Clean and comfortable bed. Big bathroom. There is no door only lid in the floor to go in the attic. There is air condition but it would be nice to open window...
