I stayed one night at La Huella while walking the Camino and it was a great place to stopover. The hotel is right on the Camino. You enter through a lively bar/restaurant. It is obviously one of the town's social centres with locals popping in for a quick drink and snack. I was checked in by the receptionist/barmaid who spoke English and was welcoming.||||The only thing that I didn't like was the lack of a lift but that is a small complaint with a room on the 1st floor. The room was larger than average with a big bed plus 2 easy chairs and a coffee table. There was also a good size balcony looking over the street with big double doors giving lots of light. The towels were folded into animal shapes on the bed (a nice touch) and there were individually packaged toiletries. The bathroom was a reasonable size with an over complicated shower but who cares when it works although the water temperature fluctuated a bit. The wifi was very good. ||||The hotel is also a restaurant with tables on the street, inside and in a garden at the back. I had dinner there in the evening and it was the best meal that I have had so far on the Camino. ||||I loved La Huella and wished that all my Camino hotels were this reasonably priced...
Read moreWe stayed one night here when walking the Camino. Our receptionist was lovely and the room very comfortable. It was such a treat to have a bath and soak our weary feet! Beds were comfortable and everything worked well. Our only issue was that the doors are all very noisy so that it’s impossible to close them quietly. There is also no fan or air conditioning so we had to leave our window open, though street noise wasn’t too bad. If you’re lucky enough to stay when all the other guests are weary pilgrims and go to bed early, then this place is absolutely fine. We had the pilgrim menu in the restaurant and it was just ok,...
