Originally, we were looking to stay in Garachico but could not find a place last minute, so we opted for the less visited town of Buenavista del Norte and the this cozy place. After initial skepticism (before arrival at the hotel), we were pleasantly surprised. The house is very pretty and well kept. We were greeted by the owner and since we were the only ones staying at that time, we could pick our room. All the rooms are very unique. The owner did not speak any English and we don't speak any Spanish, however, communication never was a problem. He even recommended us a good place to go for dinner. Breakfast we had in the little garden, which is soo cute. We were lucky enough that the night we were staying, there was a band playing on the main square. I must say, it was a very pleasant stay and if I was ever back at Buenavista, I would not hesitate staying here again. Please note, that this is not a hotel and the owners want to know when you will be arriving. After I have booked online, I got a phone call asking for the approximate time of arrival. This may be a little restrictive, if you have no idea when you'll be there or you are planning to arrive really late. However, the owners are very accommodating. Everything is exactly like in the pictures. It feels like you are living in a little castle, right by the very sweet main square and the church tower. The kind of outdoor kitchen area is spacious and you will find everything you need there. A super patio is on top of this included. I treated it like my home.
The 3 bed room is big, has huge walls and the beds feel very comfortable. Everything is very clean and smells good (which is very important to me).
The shower and the toilet has been excellently clean.
I feel so calm and at peace in this place. I gladly come back here and can recommend it to everyone who wants a quiet time.
Lots of places are nearby to explore during the day and calmness sets in the nights.
Reminder: We are in the North and not in the busy tourist South - enjoy it.. it might take you a day or two to understand...
Read moreThis charming little B&B was just perfect for our 2-day stay to discover the region. It is situated on the small Central plaza of the village (yet very quit), it has a cute patio and you get to eat the homegrown bananas and pomegranates from the garden for breakfast. The owner is adorable and helped us to plan our days and book the nearby board trip.|Our room was great and the bed was really comfortable. The shared bathroom and showers were always perfectly clean.|We especially liked it because it's a little bit off the typical tourist route but yet has an ideal access to the park teno and good hiking spots. There is also a good beach very close by and great restaurants to choose from.|Totally recommend this place and would have loved to stay...
