It is our second stay in this hotel. Special thanks to the cleaning lady that cleaned our 43x room on 4th floor most of the days in July, she did an excellent job, and it was really great to get fresh towels every day! Thanks to Svetlana on reception for making checkout extension possible in very busy period! The restaurant personnel was also working really hard given the amount of guests they need to serve each day and being short on tables. You are doing an amazing job, thank you guys! Please always leave them some coins in that tip box! We gave 5-star rating this hotel because despite some issues, the price/quality is actually pretty good and with direct access to the beach and some entertainment in the evening it is actually a very good place if you have not overpaid for it. You do need a bit by USSR hardened background like we have and be able to unclog your drain, survive a week without working Wi-Fi and be able to operate air-conditioning in a room that does not seem to work properly. Hopefully the management/owner of this hotel will improve these issues before our next visit. It would also be a good idea to forbid dogs at the hotel. They often do those messy things that are usually not seen and cleaned right a way and could be shocking to some guest if you understand what I mean. We also hope that quality of breakfast will be improved a bit. Just add some more healthy options. Maybe some different fresh bread, better croissants, some cheese options and maybe some spreads instead of mostly unhealthy sweet stuff and that English breakfast stuff. These changes do not require significant changes or costs.

This hotel is directly to the beach, you literally walk out the hotel and you are on the beach! You can unload your baggage in front of the hotel, there are parking spots reserves for the hotel guests (only 20 minutes) There is also a parking garage you can reserve, this is a good idea because most parking spots around the hotel is paid parking only. Or you need to park your car at the mercado. We had a family room with the dog.. and kids of course ;) you have 2 bathrooms and the kidsroom is seperated bij a door. So you dont hear them snoring. Everything is clean and tidy, housekeeping will clean your room daily, very nicy with an alaskan malamute! The breakfast is ok, there is enough choice between warm, sweet, etc.. the coffee is better to get it on the boulevard. The employees are friendly and helpfull. They even try English with us stubborn tourists.

Terrible. The cleaning lady left the TV on, room next to us and we were awake all nite !!! Tried to call the front desk to ask them to contact guest room next to us and asking him to lower the volume of TV but room phone disabled like all hotel phones( i was told !? What about if emergency ?) We did not sleep . You have to have one authorization number per phone for WiFi …ridiculous . I had no WiFi . Guy next door was smoking in his room with his French door door opened to balcony . All the smoke was entering our room . And finally main entrance bottom door to go to pool . is cracked which constitue a liability in case children push the door … if I was an hotel owner i would reimburse my client for the terrible nite we spent there. The buffet was Good but staff laughing and giggling !! Not professional ! I would not recommend this hotel !

Rooms: Sea view rooms on the 5th floor is bright and spacious, however the sea view rooms on the 2nd floor was dark and small. So if you go upgrade ask for rooms on the 5th floor.

Room service: Daily clean but only towels are changed. Put away your valuables as someone took my bag of earrings (not expensive but they were my favorites ) and when I raised it they said they will return to me if they find it. I think they missed the point of the complaint!

Service: Staff did their job checking in and out but not overly friendly. Not once did anyone greet the customers as they walk past the reception.

Food: Breakfast was poor with greasy potatoes and dry old bread Lunch/Dinner was mediocre. The food was edible but nothing inspiring and a little salty. Don't get the half board as there are lots of different restaurants nearby.

Location: Beach was great and this was saved the hotel and the only reason I might book here again. The promenade has lots of restaurants and there are a few shops to browse on the side street. It was really nice to be able to walk along the promenade every evening for a drink/coffee/ice-cream.

Extras: Nothing is free here. Fridge - chargeable Safe - chargeable Sun lounger - chargeable Parasol - chargeable Tap water at lunch/dinner - chargeable Beach towels - not given

Summary: Upgrade to sea view room but only if you get high floors as some rooms on the lower floor are old and small. Pool is for toddlers use. Not suitable for any swimming Don't get half board. Lots of restaurants close by Taxi from Barcelona airport to Calafel is expensive. €95 - €120 depending on company Bring beach towels Lock your valuables Rent deck chair and parasol from local not hotel. Much cheaper Locals speak good English but resort is mainly Spanish, French and some Eastern Europeans. Location is best for this hotel as just opposite to the beach. Clean Beach and a nice family resort. You won't find loud bars and rowdy young...

this review is subjective. I am givimg 1-star as the fact that I have to suffer somebody talking loud in neighbour room, separated only by non insulated door ... i can hear everything ... as if it was in the same room as me ... I find that totally unacceptable ...

Otherwise I would judge this hotel experience of 2 star or maybe very weak 3 star review.

Other part of review -

Good: location, beachfront with amazing sea view. pleasant recepcionist, it is clean room and restaurant

Bad: "3 star" do not really reflect the quality of this hotel, it is more like 1 star or 2 star level hotel.

no fridge, cheapest shampoo, plastic chair, it screams cheapness ... same goes for breakfast.

if you are egg, bread, fruit eater, you might be ok. as there is quite some kinds of bread, 3 kinds of eggs, some fruits...quite some sweet pastry but only 1 kind el cheapo cheese, worst quality sausages and cold cuts, cheapest cereal, no juice, just syrup/"nectar", really cheap lowest quality tea bags ...

it is "working class" hotel (nothing wrong with that), with many pensionists arround, reminding me of socialist mass tourism in low cost lodging in ex yugoslavia.

so in hindsight it was my mistake to book this hotel ... would gladly pay 30 eur per day more, for 4-star hotel just 100m away, that was light years better experience in every single way (on the same trip, but previously - I was changing locations, as it was combined business trip and private vacation).

EDIT - for clarificatipn, due various circumstance, I had to pay 90 EUR per night (room for 2, sea view), so I do have issue with percieved value. Usually this same room, same hotel can be booked at approx 60 EUR. at that price value would be...
