Restaurante Milán Calafell — Restaurant in Calafell

TLDR: They thought we were tourists, so they ripped us off. There are much better Italian Restaurants here serving better food at lower prices...

We have eaten here before. NEVER have we had this experience. NEVER again will we eat here (nor at Pizzicata, which is owned by the same hustlers). We ordered the "Lobster stew". The waiter asked us if we wanted a starter, and the options included "chipirones" and "calamares". We ordered the chipirones; a minute ater he came back saying "no chipirones, but there are calamares". I asked him if it was "calamares Romana", which I don't like cause it's the worst of the squid and a lot of dough around it, but he said "no it's calamares a la andalusia", which I like. A minute later a waitress brought some focacia and 2 small breads to the table. I told her we didn't order this and she said "no it's on the house", which would have been nice to know BEFORE we ordered the starter. The waiter brought the calamares and, of course, it was calamares Romana. We didn't say anything (we should have!). Then the main dish was served. It was indeed lobster stew, although the stew was more "tomato sauce with rice", but OK. Then when the bill came, we were charged 11 Euros for the calamares romana (to compare: the really good squid, calamares Andalusia or Sevillanos cost maximum 9 euros everywhere else on the pier) and 2,5 euros per small bread (!!). To compare, for 2.5 euros you can buy around 12 small breads at the local supermarket. So we paid and left disgusted. WE WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN! You won 92 Euros, but lost 2 customers and their friends and family FOREVER. We have an apartment here, and we and out relatives come here a lot. There are much better Italian restaurants here, serving much better food at much lower prices without...

God, i have no word to explain how that was horrible. The service was fast okay BUT the plate!!! I'd ordered the seafood pasta; the pasta was good aldente, but the seafood... do you ever see a SQUARE Coquille Saint Jacques ?! My friend had taked a duck's magret too much cooked at one side and raw at the otherside, his potatoes were raw too. My other friend took a salmon's pasta and my boyfriend took a lemon chicken all was okay for them. The compagny staff was great ! But the chef did not...

Disponen de menú del día, también los fines de semana. Mesas disponibles tanto en interior como en terraza. Conviene reservar. Hemos estado muchas veces….y nunca falla. También opción de encargar para llevar. La comida siempre está rica, el servicio siempre está muy atento y son muy amables. El precio…una relación calidad/precio difícilmente superable. No está en primera línea de playa, pero son apenas 50 metros. La esquina donde se ubica no es peatonal, pero no hay mucho tráfico. Siempre suele estar tranquilo en ese sentido. Van a abrir un segundo local en Calafell. Para nosotros es uno de los fijos cuando vamos a Calafell. También disponen de menú infantil para los niños por apenas 10 euros. En cuanto a los adultos, tanto el menú del día, como la carta, tienen muchísima variedad. Al menos 8-10 primeros y otros tantos segundos en el menú, postre y bebidas incluidos. Para las cenas la bebida va aparte. Espectaculares los carpaccios y el tartar de atún. Siendo un restaurante típicamente italiano, las pastas y las pizzas siempre son un acierto. Totalmente...
