EuroHotel Castellón Estació — Hotel in Castelló de la Plana

This hotel is supposed to be 4 star. Don’t know who gave them that rating As it didn’t deserve anything near 4 stars. They are obviously short staffed One person operating reception, the bar and cafe. The food wasn’t fit for a dog and was only like warm. And they served up the same food every night and only three choices for the main course and the same cake, which was dry served up every night for dessert with no choice. No ice cream or cream to make the dry cake more palatable. Dining room staff standing chatting and not one table cleared so we were subjected to other guests dirty leftovers. The food didn’t even deserve 2 stars and I know one person refused to eat it after paying for half board. and so went out to eat. The bathroom seemed to have had a revamp but although the rooms were clean the furniture was very damaged and tired. The lift refused to move if there were more than three ppl in it. I stayed here with my boyfriend while attending Benicàssim festival. Originally we were given a room with a safe that didn’t work so we asked if they could fix it or if we could move rooms with which the hotel receptionist responded that this was impossible however, after speaking to the director of the hotel we were allocated another room. Following our stay at Eurohotel we had planned a trip to Dubrovnik and therefore had our holiday money for this kept in our safe. Once we arrived in Dubrovnik we noticed that 1,800kn had been stolen from our holiday money which had been kept in the safe at Eurohotel. We belive this to have been taken by the man who dealt with us on reception in regard to our safe not working as he was aware we were adamant that we required a working safe in the room. Can’t say much else except it got the job done. Room was comfortable. Staff was helpful. Best part was the breakfast. Included buffet with fruits, breads, yogurt, juice. Really nice feature to be added!!|Right across the street from the trams which will take you easily to other parts of the area such as the area full of restaurants and the beach. Other than that cans are hard to come by and no ride apps work there so you are pretty SOL if you stay here expecting an easy cab right into nicer areas.|There’s a shawarma place a half a block away and a bar around the corner but lot much else going on in this area.|You can walk to a shopping plaza (10 min) that has a supermarket and a bakery in it, |We came for Rototom sunsplash so it was fun to be there and seeing reggae peeps...
