RH Silene Hotel & Spa — Hotel in Castelló de la Plana

Serious negative point:

airconditioning blowing everywhere also in cold weather, irrespective that this is detrimental to human health and the environment (and what a CO2 footage for the ones counting CO2....) and European economy! I believe that it is even against Spanish legislation in place, which allows airconditioning only on hot days, and not when a maximum day temperature is 20-22C!!! To the director of the hotel, please stop the airconditionings in common spaces (corridors, restaurants, etc)! I already brought up the issue with the reception, but no action was taken.

Negative points:

This hotel was suggested by Google search as an "adult only hotel". After I checked in, it became obvious that this is a lie. And creates unpleasant situations especially in the swimming pool by the kids who don't know how to behave.

I had a great time at RH Silene. The breakfast was amazing (especially the Orange Juice) and there was a wide selection. If you are going to stay there you should get a room with breakfast included. The main pool wasn't open while I was staying there which was a shame, but it was winter so it's understandable. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.

The Spa was great, but the Sauana didn't seem to have any way of adding water to the coals to add steam which was unfortunate, but they did have a steam room which was good. I had a great experience with Lena, she did a great job and her service was exceptional.

Location is great with just a 5 minute walk to the beach. There seems to be lots of free car spaces around especially if you find the road that runs along the golf course entrance. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to get into Castellon city from the Hotel using public transport, but it's a fair distance. Only about a 15 min drive if you have a car.

Everything on our stay was amazing! Starting from the reception all the way to the Spa, every single part of this hotel is recomendable! We had Rosa, who gave us a very professional massage, she was so kind and smiley. Also, the rest of the staff was very professional. As for the restaurant, there are plenty of options, we were vegetarians, and we had also options for us. We had Moises taking our food orders at the grill, he helped us and let us know what we could have for eat, and as for the waiters, as we were 3 days there, (we were skydivers), we cannot remember all the names, except for the guy in charge, Sebi. He was there the 3 days we've been having dinner, and as soon as we walked past the restaurant door, he was with us, willing to help, and informing us about our options during that night.
