Restaurante La Goleta — Restaurant in Castelló de la Plana

Based on the reviews I came here expecting great things. We arrived without a reservation and were asked to wait for 15 minutes despite there being empty unreserved seats. Not a problem, we grabbed a drink on the terrace and awaited seating.

The empty tables didn't become more full, and eventually we were seated. We ordered our food and it came extremely fast, Ceaser Salad and Calamari. The salad had a tasty dressing and a good portion of salad and croutons but was very lacking in chicken. It was nice but lacking where it counts. The calamari was overcooked but nicely presented on a bed of delicious black rice. My fork couldn't pierce the calamari and it was chewy. I wouldn't order this again.

Maybe this is a case of wrong dish, wrong restaurant. But the service was average at best and food didn't do it...

Excellent Food,all traditional, Lovely Calamari and Various Paella and many other dishes to choose from (have Google Translate available as Menu in Spanish only and staff only speak Spanish ) Staff were Friendly and within 2 visits we were treated as regulars Drinks were Excellent and reasonably priced . Lovely Atmosphere, separate area if you only wanted to drink without food . We went back most evenings to eat but also dropped in for a drink on way back from beach always made welcome Really...

Volvemos y de lo que antes parecía carecer a mejorado o por lo menos el día de hoy.

Buen servicio, rápido y bueno, personal como siempre atento y muy agradable. No voy a borrar mi antigua reseña de todos modos sirve como muestra del cambio y del servicio actualizado a día de hoy. Ojalá sigan así igualmente durante el resto del verano, sin duda vamos a volver.

Por cierto el carajillo para mí gusto buenísimo, ojo tal vez a algunos les sepa dulzón, pero para mí eso no es un problema al contrario prefiero que tire a dulzón que a alcoholizado.

En este restaurante la comida sobre todo de tapeo y algún plato concreto nos parece muy buena, el problema que tienen es que cuando van saturados no hay suficiente personal y se retrasan las comandas. Por lo demás bien salvo si te ponen debajo de los arboles y no en sombrilla.

Hay mas demanda en los alrededores pero seguimos siendo asiduos a este restaurante por la comida...
