Oh Nice Revellín Ceuta — Hotel in Ceuta

This is the worst hotel of my life. The hotel's infrastructure reminds me of a psychiatric hospital. At first we were given a room that looked like a prison cage, with no view of the outside world, nothing, isolated from the outside world. Then we asked them to change our room, which they did, but we had no clime however we had a window overlooking the outside, so we'll say it was better... then, no wifi, the elevator broke down on the first day and it usually take 30 minutes to get up to the third floor. Cleanliness is not up to scratch. Very, very bad smell. And to claim a problem, you have to leave the building and go up the slope to the other hotel (Hotel Ulysse). Let me tell you, after 3 round trips, I thought I was having a heart attack. And the worst is yet to come...it's 6.37am and I haven't slept all night, I've been awake since 2am because I had a nightmare. So I stay awake and there's a very strange noise coming from the room. When I turn on the fan (which makes far too much noise) there's a sound as if someone is knocking on the wall. I thought maybe it was the fan until I turned it off and the noise persisted, so I turned on my light next to my bed, but it started flickering several times until it went out completely. Let me tell you, my sister and I didn't sleep a wink, and left the room altogether. I don't know how you dare give yourself a 3-star rating when you're not even worth 1. What I've just said isn't a joke, you're free to believe me, but...

Oh! Revellín Ceuta Hotel is a nice small hotel located in the heart of Ceuta, a Spanish autonomous city in North Africa. The hotel offers above average accommodation with some amenities and somehow stylish decor. Its central location makes it convenient for exploring Ceuta's attractions, including the historic Revellín Fortress nearby. With its cozy ambiance and convenient amenities, However, it has some problems. The hotel has two buildings. The two buildings are about 100 meters apart. One of them doesn't have receptionists. If you are in the building with no receptionist, then you have to walk to the other one to pick the door passes. The cafeteria is also in the main building. Another problem is that I reserved a non-smoking room, but it was smelling of cigarettes. One more problem is that it is so close to the street. Mi experiencia en este hotel no fue buena, por el factor humano. Había estado anteriormente en el Ulises, y todo había transcurrido sin problemas. Sin embargo este año en el Nice Revellín no fue así.

La llegada, sobre todo la llegada, el proceso de check in no fue nada positivo, y eso de alguna forma nos condicionó. Esos primeros minutos, ese primer contacto, esa secuencia de llegada es muy importante en la experiencia del usuario, y muchos hoteles no la cuidan, y este especialmente nada.

Teníamos reservadas 4 habitaciones a través de Booking, una de ellas reservada expresamente con balcón, y nos dijeron al preguntar en recepción que no, que sería interior. Tenemos fobia a las habitaciones sin ventanas, por eso pagamos lo que sea por tener visión hacia el exterior. Les dijimos que había sido pedido expresamente así, y que si no era posible no iríamos, porque no toleramos la cerrazón de espacios. Entonces nos dieron una con ventanas, que estaba bien. Pero la escena fue desagradable y las 2 personas que había en recepción no mostraron un trato especialmente profesional. El chico además nos dio unas explicaciones peregrinas sobre el funcionamiento de Booking, que nosotros, (que por nuestro trabajo pasamos más noches del año en hoteles de medio mundo que en casa, y solemos hacerlo con Booking) sabíamos que no tenía razón.

Otra pega: es muy incómodo lo de tener que subir continuamente al Ulises para cualquier detalle: no nos abría la tarjeta y había que reprogramarla, para desayunar, etc. El colmo fue que una de las noches no nos habían puesto toallas limpias. Llegamos tarde, cansados de trabajar y nos queríamos duchar. Nos dijeron de ir a buscarlas y les dijimos que no, y por suerte un chico del Ulises nos las acercó.

La habitación estaba aparentemente bien, pero cuando mirabas en detalle, a la cama se le torcían las patas, que al sentarnos casi nos caemos, o la limpieza no era óptima (pelos en la tapa del WC que no eran nuestros), o enchufes que cuando quitas el cable te quedas con la pieza en la mano...

Se escuchan todos los sonidos de los vecinos, que si están de fiesta toda la madrugada, como era el caso, no puedes descansar.
