Cal Nou 9 — Hotel in Corçà

Our stay at Cal Nou 9 may have been the highlight of our Spanish holiday. It was a wonderful reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. Cal Nou is located in a 16th century building in the old part of Corca and conveniently located just 30 minutes from both the beaches of Costa Brava and the city of Girona. Xavier and Marta are amazing hosts, and truly made us feel at home. Xavier cooked a wonderful breakfast each morning, and was incredibly accommodating when discovering that my wife was celiac (gluten free), even providing her wonderful gluten free bread.||||We stayed in the beautifully decorated suite with a private terrace and a wood burning fireplace. If you're a foodie, michelin starred Bo-Tic is basically across the street, but Xavier provided us some wonderful recommendations of other local (cheap) restaurants as well.||||Highly recommend and will certainly stay again on our next...

An immaculately renovated, contemporary decorated and impeccably clean boutique hotel in the heart of a beautiful area of Catalonia. There are countless medieval towns and villages close by to see and it is only a 30 minute drive to the coast. The owner Xavi made our holiday special with tips about places to visit both in the local area and slightly further afield. Paola provided a wonderful tasty breakfast each day made with local produce. It was a pleasure to meet Xavi and his assistant Paola, they are so warm, friendly and welcoming.
