I texted the host that I'd be arriving little late because of an unforeseen issue at my end, and she said OK no problem. She wanted me to call her 30min before arrival. I didn't find her phone number from the airbnb site and couldn't search either while driving 120km/hour on the autovia, so I sent a quick text instead on the contact portal of the website instead that I was 30min away. According to the website she usually answers within 20min, but she didn't. When I had arrived, I was able to text more asking when she'd be coming, and 45min later called her when she hadn't yet read my texts. She sent her son over to let me in. She herself arrived about an hr later with her spouse oozing hostility, accusing me saying they didn't like my attitude. MY attitude?? Excuse me. I'm the customer here who's paid a lot of money to stay, and they treated me like I would've needed to more or less bow to them for letting me stay in that place?? This host needs to learn one and two things about good customer service. Word travels fast, and bad news even faster. I have never met on my extensive world travels anyone so hostile and rude as these people were. The spouse of the lady told me I can get out because I was complaining "too much", saying he didn't like my "attitude", and she had the same kind of hostile approach complaining about my "attitude" while pointing a finger at me and making sure I got it. In other words, according them my close to 500€ payment didn't give me any right to demand clean glasses and tea/coffee cups in the cabinet?? She told me it's the responsibility of the previous guests to leave things "as clean as they've received it" meaning, she doesn't take any responsibility herself? Really?? I guess I should've left the glasses and cups dirty then when leaving, just like I received them? Crazy! My self-respect didn't allow me to leave it in that stage though, so I washed the dishes super clean the evening before leaving, which was a lucky thing I did because the morning of the departure the water turned dirty and I would not have been able to wash anything in that. It didn't look safe. I could not even take a shower, as it was running dirty in the bathroom as well, toilet and all. Had I not been tight with my schedule when coming to visit a close relative recovering from a grave illness, I would've gladly left to find another place, but I had to endure all. I felt threatened and ended up hugging the host in order to calm down the situation before it got any worse and out of hand (hot headed Spaniards?). In a world where you can be anything be kind. I left a box of chocolate pastries on the kitchen counter before leaving, so at least my karma is good...

The lazy and rude owner didn’t answer her phone at first and when she finally did she complained that I was calling too early at almost 08:00 and told me to f myself and hang up! People like you deserve to go out of business, I will take my money elsewhere and I suggest everyone thinking of staying here of steer clear, the...
