We stayed here because of the pool which was pictured in the booking.com advert. When we arrived we were told that the pool was closed until May. As we had had a long taxi journey to this hotel and the surrounding area was an industrial estate with nothing to do, apart from table tennis, we were bitterly disappointed. ||The beach was desolate and there were no cafes anywhere nearby. ||We were going to try and make the best of it but dinner was dreadful - the food was 'worse than school dinners' to quote my children. The noise level in the dining room meant that we couldn't even have a conversation because of the group of 40 or so children on a school trip. ||We told the chap on reception about the pool issue, he spoke English but was unable to help so we had to cancel the rest of the trip and find another hotel. ||Miraculously the next morning there was a large sign on the reception desk that said the pool was going to be open from 19 April ( the next day) but they still couldn't open it on 18th. ||On checking out the staff were unhelpful and rude and said they didn't speak English. When I asked for a reduction in the rate as we had not risked breakfast or been able to swim- the manager threatened me with the police and refused to speak to me about the issues. He ranted at me in Spanish for a long time and then walked away. ||This is definitely not a four star hotel - I would say at best a 2 star - but don't go there if you want good customer service or plenty of atmosphere as you will be very...
Read moreWell here we go. Staff & everybody that works here r brilliant, may be cos they fear for there jobs????? FOOD IS A NO NO, It says it all when u have to go to the bar to order a decent snack & pay for it when u r all inclusive. The management here must live in a time warped: Was just like a hotel in the 80s.NEVER BEEN IN A HOTEL WITH SO LITTLE cold FOOD TO CHOOSE FROM,We was given a breakfast takeaway because we was leaving at 3am, nothing changed in quality cheese & ham sandwich errrr cheese was like glue, everybody threw them away. The place itself is good if u want to relax & be out of the way, there is nothing about but a garage 1 mile away for chocolate & drinks, oh by the way, just b aware, DONT GO FOR A SWIM IN THE POOL????? The so called life guard will pull u up for jumping in,He was so abrupt because a group of lads was enjoying themselves & giving him something to do, it was like no go away, stop disturbing my piece, I’m not used to this. 5 days we stayed & if them lads had not gone in the pool, The so called pool man wouldn’t have owt to do.SO MY LAST MOAN IS!!!!!!!!! Who the hell booked in a couple with a baby in the middle of a under 16 football squad on holiday,I FELT SO SORRY FOR THEM, so to sum up this hotel, If u like cold food ur ok, BUT HAVING WARM FOOD U WILL NOT GET, COME ON MANAGEMENT Move with the times.p.s. The lads that worked in the bar is wot made it for me, smiles for everybody & made u feel welcomed, cheers Sacha baron cohe see...
Read moreThis hotel has good and poor points.|The good: |It is exceptional clean and staff really friendly and helpful to us. Particularly the reception staff.|The hotel is structurally of a very high standard for a resort tourist hotel.|The fittings, decor, lobby, beds, etc.|The poor:|The location is really catering for the Spanish holiday maker in the summer. It is on a beach, isolated by a mile distance from the rest of the beach resort nearby and is not really located at El Puig but rather at the beach a mile from El Puig.|El Puig is not a resort town but rather an inland town of some historic interest with a brilliant museum showing the history and developent of the printing press along with valuable historic early printed matter.|The food was rated by one reviewer as school dinner standard.|That is an exaggeration but it is very basic out of season. Beautifully cooked but limited small choices. Five main choices each night with two soups and small salad bar and breads etc. |Breakfast was basically egg and bacon or full choice of breads, meats, cheeses.|If you stay at this hotel for visiting Valencia it is right on bus stop to city centre, price 2 Euros and 30 minutes.|Driving it is fast dual carriageway.|Hope this...
