Our stay at the Vibra Aparthotel - Jabeque Soul was actually really unpleasant.
Upon arrival our room was not ready at the guaranteed check in time. When we finally were able to check in (1,5 h later) we found that our room had not been properly cleaned. The fridge was dirty and smelled bad, the floor was sticky, there was a dirty sock in the closet from a previous guest, there was no hand soap in the bathroom, a screw on the floor from one of our chairs (I assume) and the toilet brush had feeces on it... we were also 4 people staying in the room, which the hotel had been made aware of previously, but there were only bedding and blankets for 3 people.
We voiced all of these issues with the front desk and managed to get a new toilet brush and soap and they would "try to find a blanket" for us. After traveling for over 24 hours we did not bother to push the other issues but simply hoped that cleaning would improve over our week long stay.
By day two and three of our stay our room had not been properly cleaned. They had made the beds and changed the towels, but no areas had been wiped clean and the floor was still in bad shape. The cleaning staff also took our extra blanket with them so we had to call down several times to receive a new one over the week. One night they "didn't have any" and one of us had to sleep with a towel... We did check with the front desk regarding what was included in the daily cleaning; wiping down counters and sweeping/mopping the floors was most definitely supposed to be done on a daily basis. This was obviously not done which was made very clear because the screw from check in was still on the floor until the day we checked out.
We talked to front desk for a third time in four days and they set up a meeting with us and the guest experience manager the following day.
The manager was not able to offer us any compensation that had to do with money refund (by refunding a night), but said we would be able to have lunch for free. However, when we got back to our room later that day we found a note from her saying that after checking with housekeeping and confirming they've cleaned our room during the week we were no longer allowed to have lunch "on the house" but a drink/each from the bar to compensate our late check in.
I've worked internationally for two of the world's largest hotel chains in all departments you can imagine and this is by far the weakest and most ridiculous treatment I've ever experienced to a guest issue.
When we were talking to the front desk we over heard other parties experience and voice the same issues to the staff so this is not us being unreasonable, it's the hotel and it's below average standards. Judging by previous comments this is also something that's been an issue for a while.
The best part about the hotel that's saving it from a 1-star review was the location and the breakfast man who worked weekends...
Read moreBelow is the letter I wrote to management and they did absolutely nothing about it and did not compensate us for the stay in any way whatsoever:
“Good evening,
I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with our experience at your hotel so far. Upon arrival, we were assigned Room 205, where we immediately discovered a cockroach, numerous strands of hair throughout the room, and a general lack of cleanliness. It was clear the room had not been properly prepared to receive guests.
After expressing our concerns, we were moved to Room 311, but only after insisting. While we appreciate the room change, we remain very uncomfortable and disappointed. Unfortunately, the issues have continued. As of now, there is still a significant amount of hair on the bed, and we are considering sleeping on our beach towels because the sheets appear dirty. Additionally, the room has a persistent smell of urine, which reinforces the feeling that it has not been properly cleaned.
We even had to go out and purchase cleaning supplies ourselves in order to scrub the floors and bathroom, just to feel safe using the space. This is not something any guest should have to do—especially after paying a high rate for the stay.
We were told that the best that could be offered was a 50% refund, but given the unacceptable and ongoing conditions, we believe a full refund or additional compensation is appropriate.
We are requesting the following: • Immediate replacement of the sheets with clean ones • A conversation with the manager or person in charge • Appropriate compensation for the poor quality of the accommodation and the inconvenience caused
Please understand that we are not trying to be rude—we are simply being direct about the reality of our stay. This situation has seriously affected what was supposed to be a special and enjoyable...
Read moreArrived to Ibiza late in the evening after a delayed flight tired and wanting to rest. The room was delapidated and worn. The overall hotel was the same. The bed linens were stained and soiled, despite the bed being freshly made. There was long blonde hair in the sink drain, I have black hair. The toilet seat was broken and moved when you sat down. The toilet ran nonstop after flushing. The pool had napkins floating in it when we first arrived, never got in because it appeared unclean. The kitchenette in our room was dusty and smelled damp and mildewed. Upon informing the front desk, David the person working there essentially made excuses, told us there were no housekeepers/maintenance people till morning, and that all rooms were booked. He was smug and apathetic and pretended to not fully understand English. He offered new sheets, but didn't offer to make the beds. He left them for us to make the beds, despite arriving close to 10pm. This feels like a run down low end Spring Break dive for college kids. Don't waste time or money here if you have basic expectations of a quality stay. The hotel is dirty, old, not modern or renovated in a seedier part of town. The hotel had security at the front door, should be clear of the atmosphere. It brought down the mood of our trip completely, especially when I started to explore and see all the other hotel options. Found this place through a second party travel website Tripmasters. They misrepresented the quality of this hotel, and when I called to complain the representative told me it was my fault for not reading the reviews. We actually paid an additional fee to upgrade our room, I can't imagine what the room would have been like without the upgrade. The moral is run from this place, total...
