After a couple of nights in much cheaper hotels on the Spanish Coast our family of 5 spent one night at Hotel Miracielos as a treat - and we loved it!||||We really thought the place was very special. It reminded us of our grandmother's house - with old fashioned furniture. It had dignified charm, loved but faded.||||I had previously read some of the negative reviews about the hotel on Trip Advisor and so was a rather nervous that my husband would complain. But he loved it and kept quoting the Trip Advisor comments and laughing.||||Hotel Miracielos is positioned in an absolutely stunning location and the fact that it isn't boutiqued up means that you can just relax and enjoy the pleasure of having such beautiful views. The hotel was unique rather than the many modern boutique refurbs that are done to a formula.||||Our kids voted to eat supper at the hotel rather than go out into Llanes. We had a 4 course meal which was interestingly priced as the more people in your groups who ate the less it cost! We had a lovely bottle of Cava at a reasonable price. ||||The buffet breakfast was amazing - my 18 year old boy who never stops eating - commented that it was the best buffet breakfast he'd ever had! And he knows how to work a buffet!||||I think the people who comment on the faults of the hotel are missing the point of the hotel. I hope that we will return and stay...
Read moreWe stayed for 1 night, with our dog, I believe it is a family run hotel and we couldn't have been looked after any better. The room was larger than previous stop offs, v clean and beds were a great size too (our last night on our hols before going back to UK, we stayed in a chain hotel in St Malo and the bed was barely big enough for 1 of us!). We joined the family/locals to watch football on TV (although all in Spanish so couldn't understand, but it's not hard to follow obviously); breakfast was delicious and the orange juice and coffee were second to none! Really enjoyed it and just across the road from amazing beaches .. as title said, wished we could have...
Read moreLovely apartment. Well equipped kitchen and the washing machine was handy. The apartment was neither too hot or too cold. Good breakfast at very flexible times. ||Barro was a great base for making day trips into the Picos De Europa - Covadonga, Bulnes, Fuente De, while at the same time being right next to the beach. The coast to the east was well worth exploring at low tide.||Fernando was extremely helpful advising us on many things e.g. where supermarkets were, good routes into the Picos de Europa. Also thanks to Fernando for arranging paddle boarding for us at Niembro at very short notice (when the weather and tides were perfect) and even giving us...
