Haven't even been here for longer than 12 hours and already experienced the wort service I've had from a hotel. Upon arrival the receptionist glossed over what was included in our booking (double room with spa package) - telling us that our spa package was a one time use offer when it is not. She failed to give us our drinks coupons which again were included in the offer - allowing each guest a "freshly pressed" juice per day of their stay, and our room did not include the mini fridge alongside other amenities which were included in our booking. Again, many vague excuses were given as to why we won't actually be experiencing these services that we paid for - no solutions to our problem were offered. On top of this the room we were given had hairs in the toilet, missing towels and overall the presentation and cleanliness of the room was nowhere near the standards of other hotels we have visited in the area. The rooms are small and the beds are unnecessarily large taking up a lot of walking space. Keep in mind this is allegedly a wheelchair accessible room - unless your wheelchair is 4ft off the floor and made out of toothpicks good luck to you. If you do get a chance to meet with the neighbours be nice, as the balconies are literally within inches of each other. As you can imagine we were unimpressed with the room and opted to upgrade to a superior room. Whilst myself and my partner were discussing how we were going to split the fee between us we were rudely interrupted by one of the receptionists who unnecessarily informed us that the price is unegotiable despite us accepting and agreeing to pay the only price they offered she continued to interrupt our conversation and was completely unprofessional. This almost put us off the hotel completely but who wants to throw £500 down the drain. The staff are rude and unprofessional, perhaps they hate their jobs? perhaps they hate black people? Why not ponder your thoughts over a glass of warm gin and tonic seeing as the bar apparently doesn't stock any ice and you cannot have an ice bucket sent up to your room. But on the bright side you can pay 1.90 in euros for a glass of tap water with ice. We also got to see the bartender get into an avoidable argument with a customer. What is it with these people? Nobody working here has manners let alone decency and professionalism. We won't be returning again and recommend this place only as a...
Read moreFirstly this hotel is not 4, the rooms are very small and the bathroom and balcony very basic. Issues with ants in our room and no kettle or iron available. ||I stayed here with 5 other females all of Caribbean decent and we subjected to racism by other visitors and the night security guard called Keemo and one of the receptionists. We were accused of removing a bed from our room which none of us knew anything about and had wondered why this bed was placed outside our room as if it was intentional. Another guest had come to our room to verbally attack us and slammed our door shut. She then had the nerve to call the security guard Keemo who had no intention of hearing our side of the incident and accused us off attacking the lady and threatened to call the police. My mum tried speaking to him but he started screaming at us telling us to leave the hotel before he called the police on us. At this point other guests started coming out of their rooms and talking in their language with the security and giving us dirty looks. We were told to f** off and shut up multiple times by Keemo. We went to reception to speak to another security guard and he dealt with the situation and reassured us we were not being kicked out. A few days later Keemo accused us of the bed incident and didn’t apologise when we told him it had nothing to do with us. ||||If you are a black person avoid this hotel. Despite a handful of helpful staff, majority of them were awful. We were stared at anytime we visited the bar or breakfast making us reduce the amount of time we actually spent in the hotel. My anxiety was triggered by Keemo and I couldn’t leave my room without one of the other girls...
