Stayed here for my Camino de Santiago journey. Overall, clean facilities great bathtub, comparable to expectations of a three star Marriott||Although I tried to stay local for most of my Camino, I am a lifetime Marriott status holder with millions of points to use so took advantage of “free” nights a few times on my Camino. This Marriott is in a great location for travel, but not necessarily for the Camino de Santiago which I fully knew when booking. Just more of a consideration if you are booking this for a Camino. ||Beds were super lush with fluffy duvets, crisp, cotton sheets, and overall standard Marriott experience. I did receive an upgrade so it had it had a great soaking tub, which was perfect after a long day walk. ||The only odd thing was being chastised by the front desk when I checked out because I wasn’t staying for breakfast and apparently had opted for breakfast two days prior when I checked in. I’m not sure why this was an issue as breakfast was free status members and I opted for it instead of points so the hotel lost out on neither breakfast nor points but she still let me know I’d caused was a huge problem. Unfortunately, breakfast wasn’t ready by the time we left and so wasn’t an option and was not something I knew upon checking in.||Overall,...
Read moreThe hotel is beautiful. Everything in the room looks very new. Hard wood floor / looks like it at least. Has a bath tub, shower. Hotel has 2 kind of sauna, one is turkish, the other one is the dry version. A gym place as well. A walking distance of 25 Mins to the center of the food place.
THey have a good breakfast section, ham, jamon, fruits, coffee machines, orange juice, short hotdogs, scrambled egg and bacon (not fried) many more.
Cons: Do not really like the distance of walking from the hotel to the central during night. The area on the way to the hotel is so quiet it seems spooky. (This is true for mon to wed)
Room is missing a safety box. Lack of power receptacle on one side of the bed (The other side for me was bad where the plug pushes in when u plug in, so it pretty much doesn't hold). With hotel this nice, i would think they have some international plug.
It is already bad hotels are removing alarm clock in rooms, now i have to plug my phone by the tv area, and can't use phone on the bed...
Read moreWhile walking the Camino Frances, this hotel turned out to be the perfect stay for us. It was the perfect luxury we needed for our bodies and souls. We were kindly greeted by the hotel receptionist, Susana, who attended to our every need, e.g., checking on our backpacks, ensuring our room would soon be ready with piping hot water, and even finding one of the few pharmacies that would be open on Sunday! In the morning, Linet was our delightful waitress who hosted the grand, breakfast buffet. She aimed to please us and all the guests with all the foods, beverages, and her attentive service! There also was Max, the governess maid who came to our room responding to our request for ice. She was happy to work around our schedule. Plus, the room was super clean and extremely comfortable, while the entire hotel was super spotless! We were happy to extend our stay at this hotel, due in large part because of these wonderful persons who made us feel at home....
