This property provided me with a night's stay before/after a Camino pilgrimage with flights to the Madrid airport. Rooms are consistent with US standards for a Holiday Inn Express property. Front desk staff are welcoming, well-organized, and efficient communicators. Hotel rooms were clean & quiet, and so appreciated having a standard hotel room queen-sized bed. Breakfast options were plentiful, however this option was not available until 7am. Was able to make an 8am train out of Madrid-Chamartin-Clara Campoanor train station, but had to quickly consume that breakfast. So if you have early morning travel plans, avoid paying for breakfast. Easy Taxi/Uber airport transportation. Shuttle service schedule is limited not only by time by the amount of baggage. This needs to be pre-scheduled, costing 5 euros one way. The shuttle does not pull up to the front of the hotel, pulling to the side of the hotel (go out the door to your left & you'll see a commercial bus). It also left early on the day it was scheduled, so be out the door & by the bus at least 10 minutes early. It would be so very helpful if there were signs posted in the lobby in all languages served at the hotel regarding this fact OR a slip of paper given out during registration regarding this fact. Thankful that a hotel clerk alerted me to the fact that the...
Read moreThe hotel has a policy where you can only book rooms for two people. If this is the case, then why do the rooms have a couch with a pull-out bed? If you have the capacity to accommodate more people in a room but choose not to, it is an unnecessary restriction to force more money out of people. This policy doesn’t make much sense, especially for families or groups traveling together who could benefit from the extra space. It would be much more customer-friendly to allow bookings for additional guests, even if it came with a small fee. Also checking in was awkward. Since they made the three of us split up, me and my mom took one room while my dad took the other. The front desk employee, likely trying to inclusive, referred to my mom as my "mother... or partner?" It was just weird and off-putting, especially since they are the ones that made us split up in the first place. While my family is progressive and brushed it off, others might find this comment deeply offensive. The rooms themselves were nice and clean (although the soap dispense was empty). It is upsetting because all of our other stays in Spain (with small, local hotels) were marvelous and they were world-class in terms of accommodation and professionalism. Then on our last night, out of necessity, we stayed at this name brand chain that left us with...

I will come back with my review because you deleted it. I will post it again and then I will also respond to your comment. As i wrote The breakfast is very poor, in all the years I've been traveling, it's the only one hotel that doesn't have a single salad...! As for fruits they had some Apples and pears . And due to a protocol as staff told us there is no scrambled eggs at the weekends. It's incredible!!!! Our floor (4th) smelled every day at all hours as if it were a kitchen! There is no way to stay again .... The manager who responded to my review is for sure working at another hotel. We spent 4 days there and here was not a single tomato, not even in a photo. the cheese variety is a cheddar for toast. nothing else . the variety of cold meat is turkey and spicy salami as for the variety of fruits , this consisted of two apples and one pear. and when I commented about it , they brought me some...
