We stayed at Zleep Madrid Airport Hotel and wanted to check out this place with home cooked meal. It was great! Simple, no fuss. Even if you don't speak Spanish, ordering is not a problem.

11 Euros gets you a drink, appetizers, mains and dessert. 12 Euros if you want it with Coffee.

Well worth the money and more!

The ladies, Terry and her sister are such Spanish darlings. That would be rare to come by. Most of the Spanish women in this whole trip are a bit snobbish but these two are great!

They have a picture book menu for those who don't speak Spanish. The food warms the tummy and we left happy.

Would definitely...

Amazing homemade food. Had the Potaje Casero (garbanzo bean and clam stew) which was so good, I'd definitely order it again, also the Tortilla de Queso (egg and cheese omelette with fried potatoes on the side), and the Flan Casero (homemade flan). Ordered water, they gave me a 1,5 liter bottle which I could take with me, which was a plus. Definitely recommend for a local experience, and be prepared to speak in Spanish! (They also happened to have an old Kevin Costner movie playing at the time, dubbed in Spanish, it was...

Oh My God! OMG OMG OMG

Talk of a gem in the rough, this is it. Small family run place. Very simple unpretentious menu. Nothing more or less than grandmother kitchen. This truly is a local fare and everything about it is friendly.

We speak near zero Spanish. The ladies went out of their way to explain it all and made us feel at home.

We stayed in Marriott across the highway. Walked over the bridge and enjoyed the warm hospitality.

If you are in/around the airport or Marriott, DO NOT...

This is my first meal in Madrid, Spain right after I've check into my hotel room. Its about 15mins walking distance from my hotel. Upon arrival, I was surrounded by friendly fellow patrons of the restaurants. I manage to speak to one of the friendly waitress who understands a little bit of english. I ordered the set menu of the day, which include 3 course with a drink, for 10€. I enjoyed the the food and beer there. I would recomend if you are nearby 👍🏻
