We were driving from the UK to Costa del Sol. Day 2 involved a drive from San Sebastian in Northern Spain and we aimed to stop south of Madrid and Manzanares seemed an ideal place to stop on route. We chosse the hotel for its location and reviews. It was just right for our over nightstopn and had its own parking court yard just opposite which was a real bonus . Whilst the decor is slightly dated the room was large and clean .The bathroom was large and a selection of soaps, lotions etc provided . Sadly the water pressure in the shower was very poor - its needs looking at. There is a hotel bar frequented by the locals and serves tapas and full meals etc. There is a wonderful open court year in the centre of the hotel where they use it for dining - both sun and shady areas available and they also serve full meals there. The hotel is well lcoated asnd reception had maps of the lcoality and showed us a few walking route to take in some interesting sites, Manchengo Cheese Museum, The Castillio , art gallery etc . Tourists information is just off the main plaza and very useful with english speaking lady. On the night of our arrival the hotel reception advised us there was some special local festivities that evening in the town where most of the town turned up in thier best outfits and then everyone moved to the main square where we had drinks and tapas in fornt of a beautifl church and watched all the celebrations continue. Manzanares was one of the cleanest spanish towns I have been too, literally the streets were impeckable not one one bit of rubbish or doogy doo. Workth an over night stop and...

Read more😊: Perfect for a stop over, driving from Southern Spain to San Sabastian. Near the motorway. There is free parking directly opposite the hotel, however we were driving a small camper, although the height restriction was fine, over 2.5mt the way the cars had parked meant we couldn't gain access, but no problem, free on road parking after 20:30 It's a lovely traditional hotel, we had dinner in the court yard, dinner was tasty & good value. Our room & bathroom were huge, very clean with good air con! All staff were friendly. Dont bother messaging the hotel though, they dont respond, but you can call. Definitely would stay...
