Jesus and Loli were charming hosts who made us feel so welcome, and went to so much trouble to make our stay so memorable. It is a wonderful house, a real piece of history, furnished in the style of the Victorian age, taking us back to the time when the British were living in Rio Tinto and running the mines. The furniture, decorations and even the door handles are English! Victorian House is in the former English colony of Bella Vista. We loved the breakfast and sitting in the Victorian dining room enjoying Loli's cake! The room was delightful, and very comfortable. I loved the bathroom with its massive double sink. There is a beautiful pool and garden, and outdoor sitting area. We had a beautiful balcony adjoining our room. I would highly recommend a stay at Riotinto Victorian House. There is so much to see at RioTinto and a night or two at the Victorian House, really completes the story of the mines. Casa 21, the Presbyterian Church and first world war memorial are close by, and a walk through the Bella Vista estate will take you back to a bygone age. Or take advantage of an extra night to enjoy a sunset stroll through the dramatic landscape that...

Breakfast costs 8 euro and the highlight is Loli's 'bizcocho' (sponge cake).||||Hospitality at its best. Highly...

We arrived during the first hot spell in early May and the pool would have been nice, but it does not open until mid June. Jesús pointed us to a short walk past historical Presbyterian church, mine monument and overlook to old open pit mine. Originally we planned to stay in Sevilla on a Saturday night, but could not find a reasonably priced rooms there, so altered our plans to stay in Minas de Riotinto instead and were...
