I was in Murcia with my mum for 5 days, scouting for a flat and just familiarising. We chose to stay in La Casa Verde because the reviews were so good, and the pictures of the hostel were just so nice. Absolutely no regrets, lived up to all expectations! Veronica was the most lovely hostess, we felt so welcome. The decor of our room was fantastic, the beds were comfy, the bathroom was great and cleaned every day. The atmosphere was so chilled and friendly. Toast and coffee in the morning was very welcome. We got all the help we needed in terms of getting directions to places and whatnot. The views, especially sunrise over the river, were great, such a nice location, just outside of Murcia city centre (15 mins or so). A good place to getting chatting to other folks, either other travellers or people coming to the terrace. Was fantastic having a bar downstairs :-) But it wasn't at all disruptive or rowdy, which is something I had thought might be a problem. Being able to hire bikes (which were freshly oiled and checked for us) was really helpful. Really really 5 out of 5, I'll be going back when I go to live in Murcia, even just to chow down on tapas and...
Read moreWe appreciate it's a hostel and it's cheap and expected it to be basic BUT we didn't appreciate having to wait for over 20 minutes to get checked in. There was no one there but followed the instructions to call the phone numbers provided. Not particularly helpful when it just rings out and no one answers. Having tried numerous times we ended up calling booking.com and they managed to get hold of the owner/member of staff who eventually turned up. We were in the outside room with en suite bathroom which again was very basic and extremely hot in there. We went out to eat and when we arrived back later the adjoining bar was full and very noisy. The nearest tables were only 3 metres away from our room so we couldn't escape the noise. It didn't quieten down till gone 2 am and by then I was past sleeping. We booked this place as it was near to the train station and we had an early start so completely defeated the object as we got hardly any sleep. Considering it was a Wednesday we didn't expect to encounter the noise. It was clean so cannot fault that and a do it...
Read moreWe were a group of friends traveling to Murcia for one day - we enjoyed more the city by night :)||We choose this bed&breakfast after seeing the pics on the internet - it looked very green, natural and quiet ... it was indeed the best option.||The best feature of it is the lovely garden&terrace - it´s very green (just like the name says), comfortable & friendly. ||We had a triple room +1 mattress for which we paid only 50 euros - we were on a budget ||Downstairs there is a big room full of board games, books, etc. ||The rooms and bathrooms were clean - even though if you stay for one week, you might want to keep it clean, as the staff changes the sheet once per week and the cleaning does not include making the beds.||The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, which created a very familiar atmosphere. In the evening the terrace is full of people who enjoy a good company, music & beer :)||||I totally recommend this place, for us the whole experience...
