I walked the Camino de Santiago in Sepetember 2025 and stayed at the Posada Ignatius for 1 night. I arrived from Logrono a bit early in the morning ( 1100 hours) and was unable to check in . I had to wait a while to perform an online check process so once that was completed i was able to gain access to the room which was basic but quite nice. The following morning the restaurent did not open till after 0815 hours so i was unable to have breakfast as i need to leave by 0745 hours . These minor blips were minor as i enjoyed staying in the Posada Ignatius. The building was old and converted to a Pension and was really nice. I would recommend it for other peregrinos to stay here too. For your information , my Camino travel partners were https://www.magichillholidays.com located in Ireland.

Service was totally Ok but, as a "posada", it is very limited: only few hours availability of the reception desk and breakfast service starting at 9:00 am -and we left before that-. The building is awesome: ancient building with wooden ceilings, weird corridors, lovely terrace...and an excellent restaurant that, unfortunately we were not able to taste as it is closed on sunday nights. Rooms are very comfortable, but disparate: most have bathroom inside...some others need to share. There is also a lovely apartment for two with full kitchen aparells. All together an excellent choice.

Overall, my stay at this hotel was delightful. The combination of beautifully renovated rooms, meticulous attention to detail, and an unforgettable dining experience made for an exceptional getaway. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect blend of history, modern comfort, and culinary excellence.

If you want an absolutely unique experience staying in a 14th century building this is the place to be. The rooms aren't luxurious, but are spacious, well appointed, comfortable and steeped in history. The building has a lot of quirkiness like time and use polished stone mosaic floor in the lobby and those unlevel stone steps are a marvel, and the loose floor tiles and wooden ceiling beams in an ancient building just rings all the bells for a charming little place that we were mesmerized with. We weren't ever able to eat at the restaurant because it seems to keep off hours from how we liked to eat and it was closed more often than it was open, but I suppose that's just my American expectation of a restaurant and their hours probably aren't unusual for Spain. We arrived before the check in time and the maid kindly helped us find our room and get settled. As mentioned they do not have full time desk staff but everyone who works there was always willing to help us when we needed it. The city of Navarette is such an interesting experience. It offers quiet solemnity in an ancient town with crumbling buildings and a very deep history. It was a...

The booking and communication with this hotel was easy and very efficient. Some of the staff spoke very good English which was useful! The hotel is conveniently close to the motorway in a charming, small, very Spanish town. With a few restaurants and traditional bars serving tapas. The rooms at the hotel are small and basic but are very clean with beautiful, white fluffy towels and nice toiletries. The public areas are beautiful and have been very sympathetically restored. The restaurant is in the old part of the building and is fascinating and beautiful. The staff are friendly and attentive but a menu del noche did not seem to be an option, instead we were encouraged to have the steak for two, which although impressive to look at, was very fatty or grisly which made this an expensive and disappointing option. However, the dessert the chocolate fondant was superb! Breakfast was good with freshly squeezed orange juice, scrambled eggs, tostada and croissants amongst the choices available, all again, served in the beautiful surroundings of the 15th century, restored wine cellars. All in all a good stay with excellent staff in a...

I absolutely did not want to leave this gem of a place! I actually said out loud that I wish we could take this one particular venue with us for the entire Camino. I loved the history and the look from the gorgeous images on the website, but to be there in person was beyond my wildest dreams. Danny was absolutely wonderful in every possible way. I had to move our reservation back a day because I got a really bad cold, and Danny was incredibly kind about it. Our room was utterly gorgeous and so very peaceful and calm. So much care and attention to detail was paid to everything from the exquisite bed linen, to the toiletries, and handcrafted furniture. The feeling was one of pure calm and bliss. There is also a gorgeous rooftop terrace to watch the sunrise and sunset from with a glass of wine. If they were not fully booked, we would have stayed another night just because of how wonderful it felt. I would definitely come back in a heartbeat. Wishing Danny and his wife the utmost success because they have truly poured heart and soul into every little detail. Thank you for a...
