Hostal EsFigueral Ibiza — Hotel in Santa Eulària des Riu

As someone said below: We wanted to really like this place. ||The room was relatively clean, the shower plug was disgustingly wrapped in hairs so i took it out and put it outside the window. The beds were uncomfortable but we weren't there too long. There was storage in the room and a fridge which was a nice addition. They also came in to make the beds for us. There was a nice courtyard bit at the top of the stairs with chairs and tables. All clean. NO WIFI||The disappointment came when we went for pizza downstairs, gorgeous outside area with shading ivy. We were shown a table we didn't fancy and so we chose a 4 seat table as it wasn't busy. The waiter literally huffed and sighed at this when he came to the table without saying anything else. Made me feel so uncomfortable that i just wanted to get out of there. Worst kind of staff. Obviously, during our whole meal, not 4 people came into the restaurant. So rude but the manager tried to smooth things back and i appreciated his effort but didn't do any good. ||We left hastily and then when trying to fall asleep upstairs, the restaurant starts washing up but what sounded like they were breaking the kitchen apart. I really wanted to like this place because the staff seemed really pleasant. And obviously I could tell in advance it was going to be basic but certain things just weren't necessary. For example, the layout of the tiny bathroom is very ill-thought-out. Toilet is such that you have to kind of sit side on/diagonally. Literally no way to have a shower without it soaking the entire bathroom and some of bedroom! The beds are 'ok', wouldn't like to sleep on one for more than a couple of nights. However, the first thing I noticed when I got in the room was that the top bedsheets, a sort of duvet thing, were not clean. Strange stains and lots of hairs (not mine as I had literally just come in the room). I didn't feel like there had been any effort to even pretend they were clean. I've actually never seen this type of thing anywhere before and I travel a lot. In the twin room I was in there was one small wardrobe with 3 hangers. No other storage space anywhere so was easier to leave stuff in my bag. I could go on but like I say, the staff were nice enough (although utterly disorganised) so I don't want to be overly negative. I just felt most of these issues could be avoided/fixed and next time I would either try es Alocs or pay a bit more for...

I'll start with the good part: the restaurant is very good and the dishes are reasonably priced. ||||The rooms however, are a different story. I am writing this at 02:30 am, still unable to fall back to sleep after being woken up by one of the staff members blasting music in the next room. ||||The walls are paper-thin, so the guests of the restaurant will keep you awake until midnight, after which the staff will keep you up by having some after hours parties. ||||The room is small and only 2 single beds were available, it was not really possible to put them together.
