Hotel Altora — Hotel in Tomelloso

We stayed here one night on the 16th. Very tricky to find in the narrow complex one way system. Once there parking is available and almost adjacent to the hotel but because of the nature of the ||one way system you have to go a roundabout way to it. Fortunately one of the excellent reception staff voulunteered to ride with us as we parked the car.||The hotel is new, modern, clean and well appointed. Unfortunately there was no food when we were there but we were directed to an excellent nearby restaurant.||One unfortunate incident occured when early on the morning we were leaving we awoke to find there was no water. Not the hotel's fault but it wasn't very nice and did understandably spoil things somewhat - it was still off when we left after breakfast as the great unwashed! We were on a business trip to visit a wine bodega in Vilafranca, La Mancha and our business friends put us up in this hotel. It is a rather new hotel with very clean modern rooms (16) offering all amenities required by a business traveller or tourist alike. Excellent service at the reception desk and throughout our stay, with good breakfast. Difficult to find in the center of the town. Have their own parking garage for customers. Recommended to stay here when exploring the route travelled by Don Quijote, like Argamasilla de Alba, El Toboso, Campo de criptana and Lagunas de Ruidera. JAMÁS volvería, y NUNCA lo recomendaría. Mi experiencia reciente ha sido HORRIBLE. En primer lugar, al hacer el check-in, lo primero que me dicen es que no funciona el aire, y que no me han avisado antes porque la reserva no la había hecho con Booking. ¿Solución? Un ventilador que no funcionaba tampoco. Pero después, lo del aire, fue lo de "menos"... NO me informan que no hay recepción de 24h, (dato erróneo que está en la página), y tampoco me informan de los horarios del hotel. Cuando llegué de madrugada al hotel cual es mi sorpresa, que estaba cerrado a cal y canto. Llamé al timbre que hay en la puerta (desconozco la utilidad de este porque no hay nadie) y llamé al teléfono del hotel...ambas cosa para nada. Obviamente, fui muy, muy, muy insistente, pero todos mis intentos fueron inútiles. Finalmente, pude acceder a mi habitación a las 7:45 de la mañana, después de estar 3 horas llamando e intentando entrar. Me quedé en la calle después de haber pagado por un alojamiento...en mi vida me ha sucedido algo similar...Un hotel de 3 estrellas...y ni informan ni nada, y me dicen que se creían que ya habían regresado todos los huéspedes...¿en serio? Me compensaron económicamente con algo más de la mitad de lo que me había costado...pero aún así, lo veo insuficiente para todo el perjuicio causado.
